Review: Kiehl’s Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash + Herbal Toner

A floral date with Kiehl's latest Calendula skincare ♥

Imagine yourself being surrounded by millions of hand-picked Marigold flower petals, with the breezy wind blowing those beautiful scent into your nostrils. It'd be a dreamland to me! Now if you love honey-sweet floral scents, you can have your dream comes true....

In the 1960’s, Kiehl’s first introduced its Calendula Herbal-Extract Toner, one of the very few natural flowery skincare in the market. This 50-year-old iconic formula quickly became a worldwide customer favorite, selling 1 bottle every 20 seconds globally! Amazing eh?

Today, Kiehl’s chemists are proud to harness the time-tested power of Calendula in a new formulation, Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash which Kiehl's has recently introduced to us over a lunch with the beauties.

Do you know that the first step to achieve healthy-looking skin begins with gentle yet effective cleansing that protects the skin barrier? Some face cleansers I have tried are really lathery and feel 'slippery' good on the skin, but apparently those are alkaline-based and harsh for the baby-skinned face that you should avoid!

Therefore, I'm delighted to be the first to try the latest all-natural Calendula face wash
that nourishes, soothes and hydrates the skin well!

#1 Calendula Flower Extract- Very popular in traditional Chinese medicine as a medicinal herb.
A superb soothing ingredient with strong anti-viral, detoxification properties!

#2 Glycerin- Commonly found in plant lipids, glycerin attracts and
pulls moisture from the air to replenish and hydrate skin.

KIEHL'S Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash - For normal to oily skin type
@ RM105 (230ml)

Kiehl's has developed it to thoroughly, yet gently clean and refresh skin, while ensuring a rich foam with ability to sweep dirt and oil away. Since the Calendula toner is so good and popular around the world, I have a high expectation on Kiehl's complementing Calendula cleanser that maximises its goodness.

With this, your skin barrier will be well-protected!

KIEHL'S Calendula Herbal-Extract Toner - Alcohol-FREE
@ RM80 for 125ml, RM135 for 250ml, RM210 for 500ml

As for the crowd's all-time favourite toner, it manages to soothe even the oiliest skin very well. And the best thing is, it comes in 3 different sizes for varying needs: A compact 125ml bottle for the travellers, a basic 250ml for home users and a jumbo size of 500ml for the budget seekers.

The best thing is....the bottle of toner is filled with loads of REAL Calendula Flower Petals!
I adore the lovely chrysanthemum-like scent that freshens the skin and calms the soul.

Let's try them out and see the result!
 Step 1 : Cleansing

The Calendula face wash has a translucent gel-like texture that feels light and mild onto the skin.
Just press 1-2 pumps, and that's good for both face and neck because it will foam up very well.

Use it onto wet face and you'll notice it starts foaming up quite easily. On top of that,
being easy to wash off and not being 'sticky' on the skin are some of the good points I love about it.
After cleansing, you can see the skin is more plump, clearer and softer.
Can't wait for it to transform into baby skin a long term!

 Step 2 : Toning

As I open the cap of the toner, the liquid is so light yet rich in floral scent. Knowing that it is made of whole flowers, I need not to worry if there is any fragrance added into it. All in all, it is so natural, and cooling to the skin!

Always remember to use a cotton pad and swipe it upwards on the face for better absorption!

Verdict:
1. Naturally scented and packed with 'real' floral ingredients, this tops my choice when it comes to hunting for good cleanser and toner. Just try it for a week, I believe you'd fall in love with them like I do!
2.  If you have normal to oily skin, the Kiehl's Calendula Face Wash + Herbal Toner will work wonders. Hopefully I can see the result of better moisture on the skin soon!
3. Repurchase? Of course!

  1. They are all teas made from those specific plants, usually using the root. You can usually buy them online, specialized tea shops, or in health food shops. Some well-stocked grocery stores may also carry them. click here.... herbal cleanse
