BOFE Coffee & Dining @ Section 19, Petaling Jaya

Nestled in the quiet street of Section 19 just adjacent to SS2 is the BOFE Eatery, an abbreviation of Best of Everything. Having the literal meaning of comfort and indulgence, BOFE is a new café that serves great varieties of Asian and fusion delights.

I find that the concept here is pretty much alike to many coffee places. Apart from BOFE set lunch menu, the breakfast/ brunch menu is also worth checking out for, if you usually wake up hungry like a bear. For dinner, the menu is quite extensive ranging from hot and cold entrees to pasta and steak.

Upon entering the café, the simple decors surrounded by white brick walls give a sense of warmth and comfort. The cool-toned sofa and dark wooden furniture add a lovely contrast to the warm tungsten lighting.

Simple and sweet!

#1 Balsamico Mushroom @ RM8.90

For the hot entree, we sample on a platter of sauteed fresh button mushroom served with warm toasted bread. This side dish is equally good to be served hot or at room temperature because the splash of balsamic vinegar lifts up the overall taste of the dish.

#2 Paprika Chicken Soba @ RM8.90

For the cold entree, the huge portion is sufficient to be my main course of the evening! The lightly grilled lean ghicken and baby tomato sit beautifully on a bed of salad and cold soba. Every mouthful is well coated with roasted sesame dressing that lends to the dish.

#3 Salmon Spaghetti Pink Sauce @ RM18.90

When it comes to the pasta selection, the salmon and spaghetti in ebiko sauce is one of the "must-try item" marked on the menu. Unfortunately, the sauce is lacking of good consistency and flavour. Not the worst spaghetti I've tried, but there is plenty of room for improvement here :)

#4 Brownie with Ice Cream @ RM8.90

If you're craving for desserts, BOFE has newly introduced some new cakes-- Mocha Cheese and Lavender Earl Grey which I have yet to try. But I'd recommend their soft brownie served with a scoop of ice cream (Vanilla, chocolate or strawberry).

I particularly love the bread-like texture in the middle of the crunchy brownie and the generous toppings of chopped nuts. So soft that it melts perfectly in the mouth with rich chocolate goodness!

Verdict:
1. Portion wise, BOFE is generous considering the pocket-friendly price on the menu.
2. Great choices for comfort food, but don't expect too much on the quality of pasta selections.
3. A decent place for casual lunch and dinner, or simply just for a coffee date.

Review: Magic Eyes Instant Eyeshadow

Hello lovelies! Any eyeshadow fans here? ❤ In my daily makeup routine, I don't usually put on eyeshadows....because of my uber laziness level x 1000000. Another reason is I'm really bad at it. Since I can't handle those 4 shades in an eye palette,  I opt for a quicker, easier solution!

Magic Eyes Instant Eyeshadow @ RM29.90 per box

......introducing the latest fashionable makeup solution for lazy people like me :P I bought this magic pack of eyeshadows from HERE. It comes in a pack of 6 pairs, each in tri-tones of different shades

Wrapped in a box, I love the amazing 3-colour shades combination specially blended by professionals that goes well with different occasion and outfit! Perfect for that last minute dinners or parties you're attending when you're short of time.

Woohoo! It comes in so many new and popular shades, plus
you can mix colors for every box purchased at Supermodel's Secrets.

#01 Pink Bloom
#02 Naturale
#05 Drama Queen
#07Lovely Lavender
#10 Tropical Sunrise
#11 Midnight Meadows
#13 Blue Lagoon
#14 Naturale Browns
#15 Tropical Sunset
Limited Edition Cotton Candy
Limited Edition Island Breeze
Limited Edition Summer Meadows

I can apply this instant eyeshadow anytime anywhere in the office, washroom or even in the car. Great for travelling too, if you want to leave those palettes at home. When I was told this is the  world's fastest professional eyeshadow application as it takes ONLY 10 seconds, I couldn't believe it until I try it out and see the result myself.....

I'm giving a try on the natural brown eyeshadows!
Step 1: Prepare
Close your eyelid, then raise your eyebrow to give a flat surface for better application.

Step 2: Apply
Using both hands, hold the applicator on the base of the eyelid for 5 seconds.

Step 3: Slide / Blend
For sharp look: Slide the applicator across your eyelid in the right direction.
For softer look: Use the back of the applicator to blend the applied area.

Extra Tips: Any error can easily be rectified by using blending technique.

Love the silky-fine finish and glitters around the eyelids! So glamorous, and it doesn't smudge easily. On average, it can last up to 6 hours as I stay indoors and don't perspire much.

Under flashlight, it looks absolutely natural yet mesmerizing!

Overall, I'm impressed with the result! So simple to use, super FAST and longlasting on the eyelids.
It takes only 10 seconds to get those killer eye makeups that rock your night!

Beauty Journey with Panasonic Beauty Malaysia

Courtesy to Panasonic Beauty Malaysia, I was one of the first few to experience its latest range of beauty and grooming products that comes unique and innovative in Panasonic's Nanoe technology. ❤

Meet the managing director of Panasonic Malaysia, Mr. Yosuke Matsunaga!

How often do you feel you're too busy in life that you hardly have time to pamper yourself from head to toe? Now, Panasonic has indeed made life easier and more convenient by providing beauty tools that you can use anytime, anywhere. Great for both home and travel!

During the recent Beauty Cafe held by Panasonic Beauty, we get our hands on 4 main categories of products-- Hair Care, Face Care, Body Care and Mobile Beauty. Let's check them out!

1. Hair Care
Enjoying hair makeover like a princess!

Thanks to the professional hair stylist for transforming my dull hair to a feminine hairstyle! He only uses two gadgets-- the latest Panasonic EH-ND62 Pink Hair Dryer and compact Hair Straightener, to create the silky and shiny waves.

I personally love the hairdryer!! Well, not just because it comes in shiny pink exterior with foldable handle. It's because it contains ion charge function that penetrates moisture deep into the hair and acts as a protective coating. No matter how I blow-dry my hair, it doesn't damage tthe hair at all!

Plus it comes with a diffuser that helps to create volume and style the hair from roots. Definitely a must-have gadget to achieve easy salon-style results from home!

Panasonic spoils us with choices from quick dry hair dryer to silent and compact hair dryer!

Latest addition in the hair care family: Nanoe Hair Straightener and Nanoe & Platinum Ion Hair Dryer that double the ions and therefore better moisturizing effect for beautiful hair and healthier scalp.

I'm eyeing on the 6-in-1 multi straightener! It can do all the styles from super straight to volumized, extra large curls. Plus, I learned that it is also less damaging to the hair, therefore reduces color fading too.

[Coming Soon] Ionity Hair Styler (Singler / 4-in-1)
Different brushes for varying styles. Great for salon and home use.

2. Face Care
Apart from hair, I think face complexion plays the most important role in our daily appearance. In Panasonic holistic facial care range, I found something really good to deeply hydrate the skin!

Just sit 6-inches away from Panasonic Facial Steamer and enjoy the nano-sized ionic steam that softens the skin for deep moisture retention. During the demo, it highlights on deep cleansing as it opens up pores and removes makeup easily. Even long-wear mascara melts off so easily within seconds!

Newly added into my daily beauty regime is the Face-Hair Ionizer that releases nanoe ions to refine skin texture and nourish soft, elastic hair. Can't wait to see the result on my skin!

3. Body Care
Focusing on the Wet and Dry Epilators, I find it interesting that the wet shaving feature allows us to enjoy body grooming in the shower with its unique foam creation feature.

4. Mobile, Compact Beauty Care
Aww....why didn't I discover the range of awesome on-the-go beauty tools earlier! I must really thank the person who invented this for making my life easier. For instance, Panasonic electronic eye lash curler, portable toothbrush (Doltz) and nail care products can help to achieve the best look at the shortest time!

I have tried the Nail Care tool which comes in 4 detachable attachemnts-- Filing, cuticle care, coarse polishing and smooth, finishing polishing. Time to save my money from going to nail parlours, because perfectly manicured hands can now be done at home.

[COMING SOON!!]
During the event, we also get a sneak preview of the new products that Panasonic will bring in for beauty lovers in Malaysia soon. Are you excited about the latest Scalp Massager, Thermal Aesthetic Roller and more? The names themelves are already so techy, I've tried them out and they're fun and amazing!

Thank you Panasonic Beauty for pampering us from head to toe like princesses today!

The Good Batch @ Damansara Uptown

It's good to be here again, at The Good Batch, despite of the long queues under the hot weather. On a fine Saturday, we arrived around 2pm and waited for more than half an hour just to secure ourselves a table for four.

In case you haven't been here, you must be wondering why is this place so popular! The Good Batch
always take pride of their Organic Eggs and serve them in various dishes, be it omelette or benedict.

Love the cozy ambiance, and it's not stuffy at all despite of the massive crowd!

Freshly Squeezed Watermelon Juice @ RM11.00
No sugar added. Pure juice. A good detoxifying beverage!

Norwegian @ RM20.90

The rich and creamy Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict is a brunch classic for good reason. The salmon, capsicum and onion confit is topped with a pair of perfectly poached eggs, along with a generous drizzle of homemade lemon infused Hollandaise that keeps you going for more!

A crowd's favourite and a must-order item in The Good Batch!

French "O" @ RM19.90

If you're seeking for meatless dishes, the French O platter makes a great choice by combining fluffy omelette with ripened cherry tomatoes and a lightly toasted bread. Looks simple yet very satisfying!

Cheese lovers would enjoy the layer of Cheddar melted on the omelette,
and have a good munch on the parmesan and diced capsicums in the gooey eggs.

New Yorker @ RM23.90

The Good Batch's version of chicken hotdog comes with an interesting twist. Topped with corned beef and drizzled under a mix of the homemade sauces, the hotdog reveals a great combination of texture and taste. Served with a side of tortilla chips with fresh tomato salsa.

The King @ RM11.90

When it comes to dessert, I learn that the seasonal homemade cakes here are not made in-house. Crafted with love by Frost & Flourish, the flavours are prettily layered into a rich, creamy treat. The thick, moist banana cake comes with a chocolate banana centre, and well-coated all over with a decadent peanut butter frosting.

VCR cafe is serving the same cake too, at the same price. Feel free to hop over if you're craving for
the real taste of banana cakes and peanut butter. You'd be surprised with the great mix of flavours!

The Good Batch is open until late night, so it definitely makes a perfect dine-and-wine venue.
Can't wait to revisit and try out their Japanese main courses (Available after 6pm) and cocktails!
