Woohoo, it's party time at the trendy RedTail Bar by Zouk!

It was my first time hanging out at RedTail last weekend since its grand opening at Sky Avenue, Resorts World Genting early January this year. To my surprise, RedTail has a totally different concept as compared to Zouk in KL. 

The mastermind behind RedTail, the team of Zouk Singapore has created such a revolutionized nightlife scene in RedTail by transforming the traditional drinking hole to a new-style gaming bar.

Look at the spacious adult playground in RedTail! Covering 4,289 sq ft, it can easily fit up to 150 guests along with a wide variety of game zones such as Xbox E-Games, Beer Pong, Shots & Ladders, Battle Shots, Giant Pong, darts, and pool. Marvelous ambience, food and company all set to awe customers here!

Excitement doesn't just end with the games here. Complementing the vibrant nightlife scene is the colorful atmosphere of the place which celebrates culture and arts — do you know that RedTail is a big supporter of the Southeast Asian art scene? The décor showcases murals, graffiti art, handcrafted lighting and sculptures; How cool is that! 

*bestseller* Zouk-inspired Lime Shot

What not to be missed here is of course the wide array of unique concoctions. I heard that the Zouk-inspired sour plum shot, a bestseller in Singapore and part of the Zouk DNA, is served here at RedTail. But I personally prefer something more subtle (less sour), hence I opt for lime shot instead. Cooling and refreshing! 

Mocktails aka kids' drinks are available too :P That's how I enjoy the fizzy drinks while sitting back and relaxing with some cool live music playing in background.

We also order beer towers along with some light meals and snacks for sharing to keep us going throughout the night. If you're lucky, you'd meet Xiao Hong the Red Panda mascot of RedTail and don't forget to take pictures with him!

Oh did I forget to mention that you can get free massage at RedTail too?

Play.Lounge e-Games Bar @ Damansara Uptown, PJ

Have you ever wanted to buy a PS4 or Nintendo Switch so badly but just couldn't afford one? Here's the good news for you. Recently I found this e-Games bar, Play.Lounge where you can just play all the games you want without burning a hole in the wallet.

Located in the bustling neighbourhood of Damansara Uptown, Play.Lounge is Malaysia's first and only e-Games bar that brings both casual and professional gamers together for drinks, good food, and a wide range of e-Games such as Call of Duty, Need For Speed, over 645 arcade games and many more!

House cocktails are aplenty here, each and every one is named after a game element. How quirky is that! Just tell the waitstaff your preference for alcohol and they will recommend one for you :)

Play.Lounge not only offers attractive packages for drinks but also a wide variety of cheap eats as well. I mean, where else can you get bar snack at only 10 ringgit?

We had the omelette filled with chicken bits as our starter -- something simple, savoury and great to pair with beer. 

Cyberboost Mixed Sausage Fry @ RM10

If you prefer a fiery kick, the hot and spicy sausage platter is for you!

Be warned, this can get you hooked once you start munching on the sausage.

Chicken Karate Chop @ RM16

When it comes to the main course, the western fare here is again, very affordable. My honey mustard grilled chicken chop is quite juicy although the greasiness can be slightly reduced. Served with a side of coleslaw and fries, you can pick your sauce among BBQ, black pepper or mushroom sauce too.

Aerith's Aglio E Olio (Prawns) @ RM20

Next up is the aglio olio served in a very generous portion. You may want to share it with your dining mates and avoid over-ordering. Slightly spicy, it exudes a lovely aroma of garlic, onions, herbs and spies.

Goopy Carbonara (Chicken) @ RM16

Play.Lounge is also a family-friendly place where you can bring your kid here to play the games while enjoying the comfort food here. The creamy pasta loaded with chicken breast strips may be a safer option for children who prefer something simple yet filling. 

Oh did I forget to mention that the beer packages here are super affordable too?
But if you prefer craft beers instead, try the Penang Craft Beer by Bay Bridge Brewery from the U.S!

Verdict:

Overall, Play.Lounge is a wallet-friendly place for unlimited games, cheap beers / cocktails, and well-portioned food. Ideal for hosting fun events / gatherings here too.

The first self-service “Beer ATM” is now open in Solaris Mont Kiara! I am here checking out the energetic vibes and sipping on the freshly-served premium beers - completely automated and affordable.

Tap It Out, located on the second floor of Soho KL (Right above Caffe Bene), is the first beer bar in Malaysia that allows you to pour your own drinks and have complete control of how much beer you want each round.

Tap It Out serves 9 types of draught beer from 22 beer taps on their ‘ATMs’ including:

Each beer tap allows you to pour one type of beer.

Let's see how does this self-service system work.....

All you have to do when you enter the bar is purchase a prepaid card with cash. The card can then be used as an ‘ATM card’ on any of the beer dispensers. Reload is available at RM50, RM100 and RM150 onwards...

Instructions are given at the back of the card.

Place your card under the screen and pour as much as you want!

After pouring, the screen will display the amount (ml) of beer poured,

and the price of your pour as well as the remaining balance in your card.

You can choose to enjoy your beer outside the outlet, or chill indoors.

Taking beer drinking to a more interactive level, Tap It Out also has a
digital beer pong table for you to play the classic game of electronic beer pong with beer!
