Review: Bag Of Love, November Edition: Levi's Denim Bag

Did I forget to mention November is an awesome month? This month's Bag of Love is really attractive because it features a Levi's Denim Tote without having any "Bag of Love" tag printed on it. The bag itself is of course made of high-quality denim material that makes it so trendy and durable. 

When Mimi posted a sneak peek of the bag, I bet it is already selling like hot cakes! How can you not be attracted by this multifunctional, reusable bag! I can now carry a denim tote for shopping, picnics and other casual purposes. 

The products in this month's bag are specially catered for the ultimate comfort and convenience of the busy women. Awesome! I found 3 full-sized items in it, coupled with two sample-sized products that pamper the skin. 

The following products are ranked from #1 as my most favourite to #6 as my least favourite.

#1 PANASONIC Pocket Doltz Battery Powered Toothbrush (FULL SIZE!) @ RM99

Smooth teeth with fashionable pocket-sized sonic vibrating toothbrush. You can efficiently remove

the dental plaque by moving your hand similar to brushing your teeth with a usual toothbrush.

I was praying hard that I could manage to secure November's bag as soon as Mimi told us there would be a Panasonic product inside the bag! Actually I expected a lower priced product from Panasonic like an electronic eye lash curler, hence this toothbrush is a total surprise! 

The dual-edged, V-shaped inverted bristles works wonder on hidden area along the teeth. It enables me to reach the area between teeth and gums. Not only it does fit perfectly in the mouth, but also in my travel bag! This convenient and sleek-looking toothbrush becomes my fave now :) 

#2 DOVE Hair Therapy Hair Fall Rescue Shampoo (90ml) and Conditioner (80ml)

(FULL SIZE!) @ RM4.40 each

They help reduce hair fall due to damage, by strengthening hair from root to tip, leaving the hair 

beautiful and strong. Contains Trichazole actives to nourish roots and help keep hair firmly locked in.

I'm a huge fan of Dove Beauty Nourishing Body Wash since I got the full-size product from Bag of Love May Edition, but I have yet to try its hair care range yet. Hopefully my hair will appear stronger and livelier within 2 weeks of using them.

#3 ELIZABETH ARDEN Red Door Aura EDT (1.2ml) @ RM27 for 100ml

Red Door Aura is a sensual yet bright floral fragrance that evokes the cheerful

romance of a bouquet while holding onto the fresh smooth tones of wood. 

This fragrance gives me a strong festive feeling as if Christmas comes early this year! The scent is just nice and elegant, not too sweet for my liking. I bet I should consider getting a full size as Christmas gift :)

#4 CLARINS Double Serum® Complete Age Control Concentrate (1ml per sachet) @ RM280 for 30ml

Each sachet contains two separated serum to maximise its effectiveness, and I love its gel-like texture which doesn't appear sticky on the skin. Unfortunately anti-aging concentrates tend to be too strong for my skin. I shall pass the 7-days trial kit to my mum instead. 

VERDICT

What I like about Bag of Love November Version:

• Value for money! The total value in this month's Bag of Love is RM120+ but I'm only paying RM39.90 for it! 
• All-round beauty items, it has everything to pamper ourselves from hair to body, including tooth!
• Levi's denim bag- with no Bag of Love tag on it! It becomes the latest addition into my tote collection.
• Full-sized item. I kinda expected the Panasonic full-sized item when Mimi announced the teaser on her Facebook page. Perhaps more to come in December Christmas bag? :) 

What I don't like about Bag of Love November Version: 

• Repeating brands. Dove and Elizabeth Arden have appeared once in previous bags of love. I'm looking forward to seeing new brands and more exciting products!

Kanebo Lunasol Beauty Workshop x Bag Of Love

This is a post I drafted since many months ago. Sorry that I forgot to post it out!

#1 LUNASOL 2013 Spring/Summer Make Up Collection: Vivid Color Purification 

The weekend was enjoyable when I attended my first make-up workshop organized by the latest beauty box brand, the Bag Of Love, in collaboration with the high-end cosmetic brand, Kanebo Lunasol.

We were provided with a complete guide of Lunasol products copy and advice sheet 

before our guru of the day began the make-up lesson.

Seeing all the items including the newly-released collection, I realised that the array of Lunasol cosmetics was so extensive! Specially catered for Asians, all of them came in different shades, to create the glowing skin and natural makeup look. 

#4 LUNASOL Vivid Clear Eyes

I love 'em all! Time to play around with vibrant colours of the latest collection of eye shadows.

#5 Look at the space at Parkson Personal Shopper area in Pavilion KL, so cozy! 

 There I learned 4 basic steps for make-up:

1. Base (Foundation)

2. Eyes (Eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara)

3. Lips (Protection base, treatment gloss)

4. Finish (Blush, shading and highlighting)

These 4 perfect steps focus on well groomed skin, light and shadow, and facial structure.

Such fluent, rhythmic and joyful application definitely makes you look more beautiful :)

#6  LUNASOL Control Makeup Base: Glow (Pinkish) / Clear (Yellowish)

First step was applying the Lunasol Smoothing Makeup Base, followed by the Control Makeup Base. For a pinkier, healthier-looking and glowing skin, use the pink one and it blends well on all skin colours. 

#7  LUNASOL Skin Modelling Liquid Foundation

Apply a very light layer so that it doesn't appear plastic-like. 

#8  LUNASOL Under Eyes Concealer

It's one of my favourite products! Effectively conceal the dark eye circles and guess what, 

it can also be used to conceal shadow and fine lines at the corner of the mouth.

 #9  LUNASOL Skin Fusing Powder Foundation

After trying on the sample I got from beauty bag, I am a happy user of the compact powder foundation because it hides pores and gives a flawless compexion yet feeling so light on the skin! Definitely a must-have for girls!

#10  LUNASOL Eyelid Base

I didn't know they have an eyelid base as well! It is the base layer before applying eyeshadows to help an easier application of eye makeup and it will last longer too.

 #11  LUNASOL Vivid Clear Eyes Collection: Khaki Beige, Pink Beige, Pink

The colour I preferred for a casual day out was the pink-brown tones to give the most natural complexion. 

  #12  LUNASOL Coloring Cheeks: Light Coral, Soft Beige Red, Light Pink

For a light touchup on the cheeks, I used the light coral shade. Despite of applying so many different products onto my skin, it didn't feel suffocating at all! LUNASOL products must have included some special ingredients to allow my skin to breathe and feel fresh at all times.

Finally, define your lips with the LUNASOL Lip Liner, before applying the gloss for a fuller, shinier look!

The 2-hour make-up workshop came to a close as soon as we were done with our makeups, and loads of selca with the girls. Special thanks to Kanebo and Bag Of Love, for bringing me a step further towards enhancing the beauty! :P 

#17 Strawberry Walnut Salad @ RM19.90

After the great makeup lesson, my ideal Saturday was perfected with a bowlful of wholesome salad consisting of freshly sliced strawberries, candied walnuts, feta cheese with the dressing of raspberry vinaigrette at Tony Roma's. Delicious! 

Overall, it was an awesome experience with the girls and beauty consultants.

Hope to be invited to more events by Kanebo and Bag of Love in future! :)
