Top 6 Snacks in Sky Avenue, Genting Highlands

What to eat when you are in Genting Highlands? More and more eateries are opening in Sky Avenue lifestyle mall and now we are so spoilt with choices! For first timers, I have a list of top 3 must-try restaurants (Check out my review ya!)  featuring London's first Burger & Lobster in Malaysia, Cafes Richard from Paris and Motorino Pizza from Brooklyn.

If you prefer something more casual and affordable, try the top 20 restaurants and cafes in Sky Avenue which I have blogged HERE.

If you are hungry in between meals, here are my top 6 favourite snacks in Sky Avenue:

Top 6 Favourite Snacks in Sky Avenue, Genting Highlands
1. Gindaco - large and juicy takoyaki balls
2. Eggette Lab - original Hong Kong-style egg waffles
3. Dream Color - colorful natural beverages
4. Tokyo Secret - cheese tarts and cream pastry
5. Llao Llao - Frozen yoghurt with toppings
6. Dal.Komm Coffee - Desserts and coffee

Gindaco
(NEW Topping) Ebi Mayo Takoyaki (6 pieces @ RM17.90 / 8 pieces @ RM20.90)

Everytime when we walk past Burger & Lobster during weekends, we can usually see huge crowd flocking at Gindaco, the Japanese takoyaki specialist. The takoyaki here is pretty sizeable as it is generously filled with big chunks of octopus.

While mine is topped with Ebi Mayo, a creamy concoction of shrimp mayonnaise -- slightly sweet and savoury -- there are also other flavours available such as Original (Bestseller!), Cheese Mentaiko, Teritama (Teriyaki sauce base) and Negidako (Tempura dressing).

Eggette Lab
Tricolor Eggette @ RM12.50

Another favourite of mine is the crispy sweet / savoury Hong Kong-style egg waffles from Eggette Lab. It is located near to the Snow World at the old First World Plaza, slightly further away from Sky Avenue but I don't mind walking a little for this! I usually go for the Tricolor Eggette that allows me to taste all 3 flavours at once: Original, Charcoal Cheese and Chocolate.

Golden Custard Eggette @ RM13.50

If you prefer something more unique, try the rest such as
Green Tea, Chicken Floss, Coffee Caramel, and Purple Potato Mochi.

Tokyo Secret
Syukurimu @ RM9.90 each (Buy 5 Free 1 at RM49.50)

Our favourite cheese tart brand, Tokyo Secret is also on the list, as it recently launches a new product called Syukurimu, an almond coated crispy pastry filled with creamy custard filing.

I love how it feels so light and sweet on the mouth. Simply a perfect companion on the go!

Llao Llao

But if you prefer something cold instead, Llao Llao frozen yoghurt parlour is always welcoming you with various types of toppings such as fruits, cookies and sauces. Just be creative and mix and match the ingredients to make your favourite dessert.

Medium Llao Llao (Base + 3 toppings) @ RM17.90
I'd go for my usual favourite dark chocolate sauce, caramel biscuits and strawberries, how about you?

DREAM COLOR

How about having the most Instagrammable drink? Inspired by the North pole's Aurora lights, DREAM COLOR (originally known as DREAM COOL in Taiwan) serves the Aurora light in bottles using 100% Butterfly Pea flowers combined with teas and juices.

Left: Dreamy Dragon @ RM16.00
(Mango, guava, dragonfruit)

Right: Twilight @ RM16.00
(Butterfly pea flower tea, kumquat lemon and strawberry)

We get really excited seeing bottles of colorful drinks here, and hence we pick two thirst-quenching bottles of best-selling flavours. If you'd like to have some light bites, do grab some hot sausages here too.

Don't forget to shake well before consuming!

 Dal.Komm Coffee

If you prefer to have a proper place to sit and chill in between those shopping sessions, then Dal.Komm Coffee is an ideal place to visit. Unlike the F&B kiosks above, Dal.Komm has plenty of indoor and al fresco seating for customers, and it closes slightly later than other outlets.

Hanjuku Lava Cheese Cruffin @ RM25.90

I personally love spending my evening here with some light coffee and dessert till late. Don't forget to order a cruffin ("croissant-muffin" pastry) along with the indulgent beverages here for the best enjoyment.

Here's the directory for the F&B outlets in Sky Avenue for your reference.

So...feel free to explore Sky Avenue yourself and tell me which is your most favourite snack!

[BEAUTY] Top 6 Favourites in THE FACE SHOP Berjaya Times Square KL Outlet: Relocated with New Facelift!

It's time for shopping (again)!  It has been a while since I last shopped at Berjaya Times Square Kuala Lumpur until recently I realised my favourite Korean beauty shop, THE FACE SHOP has been relocated to a new location in the mall.

Check out THE FACE SHOP on the first floor of Berjaya Times Square, next to Kwong Woh Tong!

For those who are wondering if THE FACE SHOP has closed down in Berjaya Times Square, the answer is NO! The outlet has been relocated to the first floor, just few doors away from the link bridge to Low Yat Plaza etc.

If you are taking monorail here, THE FACE SHOP new outlet is located on the same floor as the monorail station exit. No worries, the brightly-lit outlet is easily noticeable from afar.

Similar to its flagship store in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, the decor is elegant with touches of white and gold. You can also see a beautiful crystal chandelier taking the centre stage of the outlet.

The main highlight of this new concept store in Berjaya Times Square is the "Cushion Studio"
where you can play around with the latest products and try out different looks at your own comfort.

This cosy corner has everything you need -- from cushion foundation
and base concealer to the wide variety of eye and lip makeup items.

Whereas the rest of the outlet is filled with all categories of skincare and makeup products, beautifully segregated and displayed on the classy gold and white racks.

Here are the top 6 products I currently love from THE FACE SHOP:
#1 Anti-darkening Cushion
(Read my review: HERE)

It is a matte type cushion foundation which I use everyday now as it conceals most skin imperfections really well, without feeling sticky / oily / too watery on the skin. I'd say it is a good improvement from its predecessors.

#2 Matte Up / Volume Up Lip Tint
(Read my review: HERE)

Super moisturising, easy to blend and non-sticky. The best thing I love about it
is the excellent color payoff -- So vivid and fits well onto the lips!

#3 Mono Cube Eyeshadow
(Read my review: HERE)

After trying it out last month, I am still pretty obsessed over all the 80+ shades available in store! It comes in 5 types: Matte, shimmer, glitter, jelly and dual color. Interestingly, THE FACE SHOP also introduces several new brushes specifically for the application of these eyeshadows. How amazing!

 #4 THE THERAPY First Serum
(Read my review: HERE)

I have been using this since October 2016 and am still loving it now! Best item ever with 7 wonders in one bottle:
#1. As the first step of skincare
#2. As the 7 skin layering technique
#3. As an exfoliator
#4. As a mask
#5. As a mist spray
#6. As an aromatherapy treatment
#7. As a stress reliever

#5 YEHWADAM (蘂花譚) Revitalizing Anti-Aging Skincare
(Read my review: HERE - Must read!!)

Same goes to the Yehwadam series which is also everyone's favourite skincare
as I have been getting endless questions about this range since a year ago.

#6 Dr. Belmeur Clarifying / Daily Repair Skincare
(Read my review: HERE)

Dr. Belmeur specialised skincare is another popular range that is well-loved by the crowd.
I personally love using the Daily Repair series that can improve my dry and sensitive skin.

Other than my top 6 favourites, there are also plenty of popular products in store such as
the wide range of facial sheet mask that can go at really affordable prices.

For an overall beauty experience, THE FACE SHOP also has a good range of accessories,
bath and body products as well as perfumes etc.

In the month of March 2018, it is having a "Buy 3 or more: 25% OFF" promotion.
If you are looking for good deals, don't forget to keep stalking THE FACE SHOP
social media platforms for the latest updates and information!

All the above products are currently available at THE FACE SHOP stores nationwide and online store.
Feel free to drop by at THE FACE SHOP Berjaya Times Square outlet and check out the products!

A Better Florist : Best Florist in Malaysia

There’s nothing quite like flowers on the daily basis to put a smile on your face, and to give you that extra boost of inspiration and energy. It’s also the first thing you reach for when you need to cheer someone else up or even send a message to say thank you, I’m sorry, we love you, and whatever you need to say. Flowers are like a little story, especially when florists know how to craft them so they tell the right story. A Better Florist is the best florist in Malaysia, and you should definitely see what they have to offer.
From gorgeous holiday floral arrangements and grand opening flowers, to appropriate and carefully put together funeral flowers, A Better Florist is the mecca of all things flowers. This is the shop that’s not going to say no to anything that has to do with flowers. They have it all, and not only do I enjoy this variety, I enjoy how they put a unique spin on everything, so that every bouquet is beautiful and yet unique. But besides the funeral flowers, and their beautiful flower collections, A Better Florist has something for those who want to send a different message, and not just with flowers. A Better Florist is a flower delivery Malaysia can rely on if they need a hamper for any kind of a holiday or a fruit basket. Their fruit basket delivery is one of the most popular ones, which is why they call A Better Florist is the best florist in Kuala Lumpur. I ordered their hampers a couple of times, one of them being the get well soon hamper, and I loved it so much. They also have Valentine’s Day hampers, Mother’s Day hampers, a baby hamper collection and so much more.
If you check online, you’ll probably see that A Better Florist is the best flower delivery Malaysia has, but also a flower delivery Singapore is crazy about. Singapore is the original home of A Better Florist, and this is where it actually all started. Thanks to that team, we now have an extremely talented florist team.

Moving on to all the perks that come with shopping from this flower shop. You can definitely count on their flower delivery, in fact, there’s no florist in Malaysia that can come close to their same day flower delivery. Not only are you guaranteed a same day delivery, you get it within just 90 minutes, and it’s completely free, no extra charge.

If you love A Better Florist so far, check out some of the amazing reviews online. Plenty of bloggers and magazines regard them as the best florist in Malaysia, as well as the best flower delivery UAE has, and a Hong Kong flower delivery that you have to try out. If you happen to have loved ones outside of Malaysia, you can always order from the best florist in HK and be sure that A Better Florist is the best flower delivery Hong Kong can rely on. The same goes for Singapore and the flower delivery Dubai has. There’s nothing to say about A Better Florist that you won’t like, so the best way to see why I love this flower shop so much is to check them out for yourself.
