Top 6 Snacks in Sky Avenue, Genting Highlands

What to eat when you are in Genting Highlands? More and more eateries are opening in Sky Avenue lifestyle mall and now we are so spoilt with choices! For first timers, I have a list of top 3 must-try restaurants (Check out my review ya!)  featuring London's first Burger & Lobster in Malaysia, Cafes Richard from Paris and Motorino Pizza from Brooklyn.

If you prefer something more casual and affordable, try the top 20 restaurants and cafes in Sky Avenue which I have blogged HERE.

If you are hungry in between meals, here are my top 6 favourite snacks in Sky Avenue:

Top 6 Favourite Snacks in Sky Avenue, Genting Highlands
1. Gindaco - large and juicy takoyaki balls
2. Eggette Lab - original Hong Kong-style egg waffles
3. Dream Color - colorful natural beverages
4. Tokyo Secret - cheese tarts and cream pastry
5. Llao Llao - Frozen yoghurt with toppings
6. Dal.Komm Coffee - Desserts and coffee

Gindaco
(NEW Topping) Ebi Mayo Takoyaki (6 pieces @ RM17.90 / 8 pieces @ RM20.90)

Everytime when we walk past Burger & Lobster during weekends, we can usually see huge crowd flocking at Gindaco, the Japanese takoyaki specialist. The takoyaki here is pretty sizeable as it is generously filled with big chunks of octopus.

While mine is topped with Ebi Mayo, a creamy concoction of shrimp mayonnaise -- slightly sweet and savoury -- there are also other flavours available such as Original (Bestseller!), Cheese Mentaiko, Teritama (Teriyaki sauce base) and Negidako (Tempura dressing).

Eggette Lab
Tricolor Eggette @ RM12.50

Another favourite of mine is the crispy sweet / savoury Hong Kong-style egg waffles from Eggette Lab. It is located near to the Snow World at the old First World Plaza, slightly further away from Sky Avenue but I don't mind walking a little for this! I usually go for the Tricolor Eggette that allows me to taste all 3 flavours at once: Original, Charcoal Cheese and Chocolate.

Golden Custard Eggette @ RM13.50

If you prefer something more unique, try the rest such as
Green Tea, Chicken Floss, Coffee Caramel, and Purple Potato Mochi.

Tokyo Secret
Syukurimu @ RM9.90 each (Buy 5 Free 1 at RM49.50)

Our favourite cheese tart brand, Tokyo Secret is also on the list, as it recently launches a new product called Syukurimu, an almond coated crispy pastry filled with creamy custard filing.

I love how it feels so light and sweet on the mouth. Simply a perfect companion on the go!

Llao Llao

But if you prefer something cold instead, Llao Llao frozen yoghurt parlour is always welcoming you with various types of toppings such as fruits, cookies and sauces. Just be creative and mix and match the ingredients to make your favourite dessert.

Medium Llao Llao (Base + 3 toppings) @ RM17.90
I'd go for my usual favourite dark chocolate sauce, caramel biscuits and strawberries, how about you?

DREAM COLOR

How about having the most Instagrammable drink? Inspired by the North pole's Aurora lights, DREAM COLOR (originally known as DREAM COOL in Taiwan) serves the Aurora light in bottles using 100% Butterfly Pea flowers combined with teas and juices.

Left: Dreamy Dragon @ RM16.00
(Mango, guava, dragonfruit)

Right: Twilight @ RM16.00
(Butterfly pea flower tea, kumquat lemon and strawberry)

We get really excited seeing bottles of colorful drinks here, and hence we pick two thirst-quenching bottles of best-selling flavours. If you'd like to have some light bites, do grab some hot sausages here too.

Don't forget to shake well before consuming!

 Dal.Komm Coffee

If you prefer to have a proper place to sit and chill in between those shopping sessions, then Dal.Komm Coffee is an ideal place to visit. Unlike the F&B kiosks above, Dal.Komm has plenty of indoor and al fresco seating for customers, and it closes slightly later than other outlets.

Hanjuku Lava Cheese Cruffin @ RM25.90

I personally love spending my evening here with some light coffee and dessert till late. Don't forget to order a cruffin ("croissant-muffin" pastry) along with the indulgent beverages here for the best enjoyment.

Here's the directory for the F&B outlets in Sky Avenue for your reference.

So...feel free to explore Sky Avenue yourself and tell me which is your most favourite snack!
