[BEAUTY] Review: THE FACE SHOP 2018 *NEW* Makeup Arrivals

Howdy! Do you like my makeup look this round? ❤ After the introduction of Flat Velvet / Glossy Lipstick series last month, THE FACE SHOP has also brought to us alot of *new* makeup products such as the eyeshadows, lip tints, blusher and makeup remover.

I am excited to be one of the first few to try and test them out, now let me show you what I have gotten here...

 THE FACE SHOP MONO CUBE EYESHADOW @ RM23 – RM30 each

The main highlight of my latest collection is the super cute Mono Cube Eyeshadow that works like Lego! The case is designed in such a way that it has a 'tongue' that connects to the 'groove' of another case. So you can pick any colors you like, connect them together and customise your own palette!

Just insert the tongue into the groove! Yes, as simple as that.

The best part is, the eyeshadow is available in 80 different colors and 5 types of formula / texture:

❤ Matte: Ultra silky, soft and skin-fit texture.
❤ Shimmer: Smudge-proof, satin-like, pearlescent finish.
❤ Glitter: Shiny finish with sparkling pearl particles.
❤ Jelly: Creamy soft finish with metallic pearl particles.
❤ Dual Color: Quick and easy 2-in-1 eyeshadow combo.

For a start, I have chosen 4 basic, easy-to-match colors:

Mono Cube Eyeshadow (Matte) BR04 Cookie Brown

Mono Cube Eyeshadow (Glitter) RD01 Cognac Brown

For those who have tried THE FACE SHOP eyeshadows in the past, I am sure you'd love this improved formula that gives a major upgrade to the level of adherence, color pigmentation and durability.

For the eye makeup, I am using BR02, with BR01 at the edge.

THE FACE SHOP MATTE UP TINT (4g) /

VOLUME UP TINT (3.5g) @ RM48 each

For the lips, I have tried two new types of tints here: One is for bold matte finish, while the other gives a glossy plump lips. Nevertheless, both of them are formulated using the Super Moisture Oil Complex (Brazilian Nut + Sweet Almond + Jojoba seed + Sunflower seed + Macadamia) to keep the lips moisturized.

This is not your ordinary lip tint. Let's take a look at the applicator -- There are messages printed on the stick, how cool is that! Great to surprise your friends with such a lovely gift too.

How to Use: Gently apply from inner side of the lip, using brush tip within the lid.

The Matte Up Tint is airy light in texture and finishes off the lips with a bold, matte tint. But if you prefer something more vivid and long-lasting, then try layering it since the lightweight texture is very easily buildable on the lips. Great for retouching too.

For a glossy touch, the Volume Up Tint is a better option as it seals the lips with a layer of non-sticky gloss on top of the color tint. However, the slight sheen does not seem very noticeable to me.

Do you know that THE FACE SHOP also has this ultra cute blusher? While the furry puff applicator in the case is easy and convenient to use, I prefer using my own makeup brush for a more even application.

 #02 Coral yields a sweet and warm touch on the cheek.

THE FACE SHOP RICE WATER BRIGHT

MILD CLEANSING WATER (500ml) @ RM70

Bonus! Just wanna share with you the makeup remover I am currently using, since using good makeup remover is also important to ensure healthy skin. If you need something water-based, extra mild and gentle for the skin, then this Mild Cleansing Water is for you.

Unlike the conventional makeup remover, the Mild Cleansing Water uses only a minimal 11 listed ingredients that are essential for mild formula for skin. More importantly, these 11 ingredients are EWG level 1 or lower (EWG, which stands for Environmental Working Group is a NGO that protects human health and the environment. The EWG level rating 0 - 2 means low hazard in terms of toxicity of ingredient)

Therefore, it is safe yet effective to completely remove daily makeup and impurities without drying out the skin.

*THE FACE SHOP's existing Rice Water Bright Cleansing Water will be discontinued and be replaced with this.

How to Use:
1. Apply onto cotton pad and lightly wipe the face in outward motions.
2. For eye and lip makeups, place the soaked cotton pad on lips or closed eyes and hold for few seconds, then wipe.
3. Rinse with warm water if necessary.
