Review: Vanity Trove Customized Box with My Favourites!

My journey with Vanity Trove throughout 2013 was indeed a delightful one, I collected all the monthly beauty box from February to September, including 3 special edition troves, where you can read on my reviews HERE. 

The box is used to be rose pink and white in colour, until few months ago Vanity Trove changed a whole new box in creamy beige that further enhanced its elegance. If you remember my previous post, you can now pick your own beauty samples into your trove! 

For RM50, I was entitled to choose 6 beauty items but Vanity Trove never fails to surprise me 

by adding more stuff into the trove! Now let's see what are my beauty picks for the month =)

#1 ARTDECO Eye Shadow in Violet Amethyst (Full Size!) (0.8g)

Originated from Germany, the Artdeco eye shadow is a must-have as the extremely fine glitter particles makes a special eye-catcher for different occasions. Although it does not come in any case, but it is definitely worth going into my trove because a full-sized Artdeco eye shadow retails at RM29.00!

#2 DECLEOR Aroma Cleanse Cleansing Milk (10ml) + Lotion (10ml)

DECLEOR is one of my favourite skincare products! From the Decleor Aromatherapy Ritual Workshop I attended last year, I already own the full sized cleansing milk and toner, but I don't mind getting another deluxe sized ones for my convenience while travelling. Love the milky cleanser and lotion that feels soft and smells like honey on the skin! 

#3 WELLA Professionals ENRICH Moisturizing Shampoo (50ml) + Mask (25ml)

I love the scent of Shea butter in the luxuriously silky shampoo and mask! It is rich and hydrating, best to nourish and moisturize thick hair. Can't wait to see a radiant shine on my hair soon.

#4 NATURE'S LAB Bergamot & Tangerine Premium Natural Body Wash (50ml)

Natural product is always the best friend of my skin, that's why I love this citrus body wash that is not only fragrant but also freshens my mind. Deliciously sweet and tangy, I wish it is edible!

#5 ANTIPODES Joyful Hand & Body Cream (30ml)

To pamper myself from head to toe during this festive season, the Antipodes joyful hand and body cream helps get rid of dry, flaky skin especially around the elbow, kneecap and ankle area. Enriched with avocado oil, the velvety cream feels soft on the skin without leaving any residue. 

#6 TruDTox Naturally Purify Botanical Tea Blend (Full Size!) (5 Tea Bags x 3g in 1 Box)

I've always seen TruDTox in pharmacies, but this is my first time trying this Swiss natural and organic botanical tea that works gently to cleanse our natural detox organs. Tastes like an ordinary herbal tea with no harsh laxatives, I notice my bowel movement somewhat improves a little.

#7 Mystery Gift: SCHWARZKOPF BC Hair Therapy - BC Oil Miracle Shampoo (30ml)

Review: Schwarzkopf BC Hair Therapy Series

Everytime I go for a haircut, my hairdresser (the same old person who always complain about my hair lol) will give the same comment: "Your hair is so dry". I used to have lots of split ends when my hair was of waist-length, but now it is improving! From having "split-ends" to just "Dry" is a huge improvement okay! Hahahaha

But of course I believe my hair condition will continuously be better! Why? Because I'm currently using the Schwarzkopf Professional BC Bonacure Hair Therapy Oil Miracle series. Lots of saloons are using these for their customers with dry and frizzy hair, so I decided to give it a try. 

The set comes in 3 products, let me introduce one by one to you! 

Schwarzkopf Professional BC Bonacure Hair Therapy Oil Miracle Shampoo (200ml)

Comes in a tube, the shampoo is a crystal clear orangy gel with beautiful fragrance. To my delight, the shampoo contains substantial amount of nourishing oil that works wonder on the porous spots of the hair surface. Great to form lather on wet hair, plus it adds shine and smoothness with Micro Emulsion Oil Technology. No worries, it doesn't make your hair oily at all! 

Schwarzkopf Professional BC Bonacure Hair Therapy Oil Miracle Gold Shimmer Treatment (150ml)

The Gold Shimmer Treatment with argan oil deeply recharges the hair within the fibre and nourishes it with precious oils. It combines the indulgent care of precious oils with a luxurious appearance and rich texture. 

Great for achieving shine and softness!

After towel-drying the hair, I usually use this treatment as a rinse-off hair conditioner every alternate days. I only apply half the size of my palm onto the hair from the mid-length towards the ends, for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse it off. After a month of using it, there is still plenty in the can, and my hair looks significantly healthier--- Less frizzy!

Schwarzkopf Professional BC Bonacure Hair Therapy Oil Miracle Liquid Oil Conditioner (150ml)

It's a two-phased leave-on oil treatment that helps detangle the hair without overburdening it. Lots of hair care products I've encountered (especially oil-based) are greasy and add weight to the hair, but Schwarzkopf oil conditioner turns out amazingly weightless! 

 Shake well, to make sure the argan oil mix well with the liquid for conditioning and detangling effects

Few sprays in short bursts especially along the ends are recommended! 

I know many people always make mistakes by spraying conditioner onto dry hair. But the truth is,

always remember to apply before it dries completely for better absorption and nourishment!

Yes, only 3 steps! Having smooth and soft hair is made simpler now :)

Decleor Aromatherapy Ritual Workshop x Vanity Trove

Hi! I'm going to share something amazing today. 

Have you ever tried using aromatic essential oils in your daily skincare routine 

(from cleanser to night cream!)?

I'm ashamed to say that I don't usually appreciate the benefits of aromatherapy. 

...Until I was introduced by DECLEOR about the aromatic ritual for the face.

Oh even the makeup remover smells so good! It contains Cornflower Essential Water to allow decongestion, and also nourishes your delicate eye area with Camellia Essential Oil.

Next, we move to the face area. Thanks to the Sweet Almond Plant Oil, the milky lotion feels so soft and mild on the skin. Another aromatic ingredient in it, Neroli Essential Oil not only helps cleanse the face, but also repair and protect the skin well. 

Phase 2 Cleanser: DECLEOR Aroma Cleanse 3-in-1 Hydra-Radiance 

Smoothing & Cleansing Mousse

Mousse is not something I'd love, but its tiny particles are able to penetrate deep into the skin for deep cleasing. Pump a tiny 10-cent size, then gather lather to cleanse the face and neck with 3 main benefits:

Repairing (Neroli Essential Oil)
Exfoliating (Papaya Extract)

Prevent Dryness (Hyaluronic Acid)

Phase 3 Toning: DECLEOR Aroma Cleanse Essential Tonifying Lotion

After cleansing, it's time to soothe the skin with toner that contains the key plant ingredient: Neroli Essential Oil. Neroli is the blossom of bitter orange tree, with a sweet, honeyed scent. I definitely enjoy the scent of aromatic, soft floralcy on my skin =)

Then it comes to the complete hydration ritual using the Hydra Floral Multi-Protection Range. Plant sap, the main source of hydration for the flower, provides optimal moisture from roots to leaves. In fact, it is DECLEOR's first 24-hours moisturization-activating and multi-protection range, inspired by this little secret from the plant world.

Phase 1 Replenishing: DECLEOR Ultra-Moisturizing and Plumping Expert Mask

The mask is the most amazing product from the range!! It has a unique texture that turns into oil when massaged on the skin. Instantly the skin is soaked with moisture, comfort and suppleness. The effect is almost immediate when my skin moisture level increases in just split seconds!

Use an appropriate amount and spread over the face. It will appear creamy and sticky at first, then slowly massage it in upward circular motion and miraculously, the cream turns into a layer of protective oil on my face. The best thing is, it can be used even on the eye area! Leave it on for 10 minutes, and then remove the excess only using the tonifying lotion (from Step 4). 

Phase 2 Treatment: DECLEOR AROMEssence NEROLI Essential Serum

Next is the essence of all essences! 100% natural, 100% active ingredients, a concentrate of Essential and Plant Oils with a fine and silky texture, is specially formulated to soften, relax the skin and restore the complexion’s natural radiance.

Beauty Tips: Warm 2 drops of serum in the palms of your hands and massage gently on face and neck. Best to apply in the morning before moisturizer ya...

Phase 3 Activator: DECLEOR 24-Hour Moisture Activator Light Cream

Like a flower, the skin is moisturized with plenty of water, perfectly hydrated and protected after the layer of serum in Step 6. A thin layer (around a 10 cent size) is sufficient to plump up the face and neck.

Foundation: DECLEOR BB Cream 24-Hour Moisture Activator

After the necessary skincare, we also tried the 1st Decleor BB Cream. It is a 5-in-1 formula for a perfect skin effect: Hydrated, smoothed and comfortable. The coverage is pretty light, and it comes in only one shade that will blend into all skin tones without giving a 'pale whitish' complexion.

Despite of being a short 1.5-hour workshop, DECLEOR gave a very detailed explanation on their products and I learned lots of beauty tips on the application of various skin cares. Among all the products I've tried, the star that outshines others is the DECLEOR Ultra-Moisturizing and Plumping Expert Mask. Highly recommended for dry, sensitive skin!

Decleor Hydra Floral Multi-Protection is highly recommended for dehydrated skin. If you're suffering from it, then 3 step remedy is sufficient to increase at least 63% of hydration in your skin. Must-have items: (1) Aromessence Neroli Essential Serum, (2) 24-Hour Moisture Activator Light Cream and (3) Expert Mask. The result is very effective and almost instant =)
