Dealing with Acne? Here's How To Get Rid With It

Everybody wants to have a fair and smooth skin and this radiates from a healthy skin. However, a healthy and glowing skin seems to be elusive for certain people with hormonal imbalances such as teens and pregnant women. More often than not, they need to deal with outbreaks and acne as the body’s natural response to an imbalance. However, it is very fortunate that there are already several ways to deal with acne, you just need to find the one that works for you.

Apply Oils

There are several oils that can help reduce acne and pimples and tea tree oil tops the list. Cinnamon, rose, and lavender are also other types of essential oils that tend to inhibit the growth of acne-causing bacteria. These oils can be applied after massaging your face with a facial brush. The best facial brush for acne and breakouts have bristles that gently exfoliate and unclog pores, preventing the growth of acne-causing bacteria. It is important however to clean and disinfect the brushes to prevent spreading bacteria on fresh and clean skin.

Use Green Tea and Aloe Vera

Another organic alternative in fighting acne and other pimple-causing bacteria is to use green tea and aloe Vera. Green tea has antioxidants that reduce inflammation, hence it is recommended to apply green tea right after washing the face and patting it dry with a soft towel. Follow it up by moisturizing using aloe Vera which also helps minimize inflammation.

Try a Spot Treatment

Nowadays, there are already several over-the-counter pimple spot treatments which are generally inexpensive and effective for most people. These are more helpful for those with a couple of comparatively big pimples rather than those suffering a breakout. Nonetheless, spot treatments can be dabbed directly onto the pimple and can either be left overnight, or covered with a concealer. It is important to follow the directions though for a successful result.

Experiment with a Sulfur Mask

A sulfur mask is recommended for people experiencing a pimple breakout because the whole face can be treated. A sulfur mask will unclog the pores, making the pimples appear smaller. Sulfur masks now come in different scents, which makes it one of the preferred acne treatments.

Cool Down with Ice or Warm it Up

Wrap an ice cube in a clean towel and apply it directly to your pimples. The cold therapy will immediately reduce the inflammation, pain and swelling. Doing this several times a day for a couple of days will have a positive impact in your acne treatment. On the other hand, a warm compress may help in pushing pus on the surface, aggravating the healing process.

In conclusion, a healthy skin is still the most beautiful skin, so before you even suffer from acne or pimple breakout, make it a habit to keep your face clean. Avoid popping your pimples because your risk for infection will just increase in doing so. Instead, remove your makeup before sleeping and wash your face. Keep in mind to moisturize and stay hydrated always.
