Review: Jungle House Bangsar Cafe - "All Things Honey"

At Jungle House, it is always a great exploration of the world of honey. This is my first time stepping into Jungle House cafe at Jalan Telawi 3, Bangsar and I am amazed by the wide array of honey and honey-related products it houses here. 

The story of Jungle House begins with Paul and Ashley's passion for honey when they embarked on an adventurous trip into the jungles of Garut in West Java, Indonesia. Along the way, they chanced upon a company of indigenous bee hunters who offered them a taste of fresh, jungle honey - so pure, organic, unadulterated, raw honey, flavoured only by the flowers that the honeybees visit for nectar and pollen.

FiSh's Diary: Goodbye 1/3 of 2022!

Hello, May! Now that we have completed 1/3 of 2022, it's time for a quick recap on what I have been up to throughout the past months. When I took a read of my recap of 2021, I recalled that I was quite content with life at the beginning of 2022, after making some positive changes in the choices I made (This is exactly why I love penning down my emotions in an online diary).

Now I realise I am on this long journey of self-improvement and self-development towards becoming a better version of myself. I am not sure if I could still say the same for 2022 thus far, but let's quickly go through the path I have walked in the past 4 months...

January 2022 ❤

New year, new challenge. Taking up a new role effective 1 January 2022 is not exactly an easy task to do. It requires a lot more mental strength training, perseverance and a shift of mindset from a "staff" to a "business owner". There may be unfairness along the way, there may be lots of dealing with difficult people etc but this is all part of learning - and I am happy to see myself growing and improving every day. I am confident that what I am going through now would allow me to experience life-changing benefits in future.

I start to appreciate the fact that every effort I put in now may not be appreciated by the stakeholders at this juncture, but such effort will definitely bear some fruits at some points in life. Believe in what you do, and keep doing it. If you don't see any self-improvement or personal development over a period of time, then do something and change for the better!

February 2022

February is rather a chillax month, thanks to the long Chinese New Year plus Valentine's Day break. It was great catching up with family, relatives and friends. But what I miss the most is our long overdue gatherings with the close knits. Hopefully we can meet sometime soon!

March 2022

I honestly couldn't remember much about March. When I checked my calendar and photo album, I realised I just spent my entire month mostly dealing with work affairs. Luckily, my weekends were well-spent on cafe hopping and taking beautiful OOTDs. 

April 2022

The international border has finally reopened but....unfortunately no I am not travelling anywhere yet. I took a really short break at Cameron Highlands despite having to monitor my work remotely there - not exactly an ideal experience for a quick getaway tho. Cameron Highlands was exactly the same since my last visit in November 2021 - hopefully I don't have to come back for at least the next 2 years.

On a side note, April was an exciting month because I get to partner with ACCA as their regional ambassador for the June 2022 ACCA Exam. The videos are up on ACCA's social media pages as well my Instagram - have you checked them out yet? Personally, I am very glad to have such rare opportunity to be able to work with ACCA, as an ACCA student-affiliate-then-member myself. 

May 2022

May 2022 continues with a great focus on work and people who really matter in life. With limited time we have every day, I become more selective with what I want to do and who should I dedicate my time to. 

In personal finance, they say track where you spend your money, and it will tell a story of what is important to you. In life matters, track your time, and it will tell a story of what matters to you. I am slowly adjusting myself to match my time spent with what I want to achieve in creating a meaningful life. 

And if someone is willing to spend time with you, it is the most precious gift he/she can give you because he/she is giving you a portion of his/her life that he/she can never get back :) Cherish them!

Expanding my horizon lately made me realise personal development and self-discipline are so crucial in every endeavour in life. I am happy with my current state where I get to learn new, different things from new people everyday and find my own source of motivation along the way. Who knows if beautiful surprises may come along too? ;)

[REVIEW] Logitech MX Keys Mini Keyboard - Minimalist, Compact and Efficient!

Meet the mighty, smart MX Keys Mini! ❤

Working from home and sometimes in cafes gives me the urge to invest in a good, portable and minimalist wireless keyboard. So I have gotten myself the latest MX Keys Mini keyboard by Logitech.

I first got attracted by the sleek, minimalist design that packs great power in a compact yet sturdy metal build. It is lightweight, easy to carry around and fits well for any space I work at, be it on a large home office, on bed or at cafes. It allows me to work on the go along with my iPad.

Despite of being labelled “Mini”, the MX Keys Mini keyboard has the best features of the standard-sized MX Keys - so stylish yet comfortable - allowing me to work efficiently anytime, anywhere. 

 

Did you notice its spherically-dished keys? I love the ergonomics it offers, definitely helpful for a long working day. Plus, the improved key stability reduces noise while optimizing responsiveness too.

Connectivity is crucial to me as I need to work across multiple devices. And I am happy that MX Keys Mini can connect up to 3 wireless devices at a time via Bluetooth® Low Energy. No USB ports required!

Compatibility wise, it pairs easily with Windows®, Chrome, Linux and Android, macOS, iOS, iPadOS, etc. So far, I have no issues with the connectivity - it is so quick and seamless. 

Another noteworthy point is that the keyboard has Emoji, Dictation and Mic Mute/Unmute Keys. My favourite is the Emoji Key because in just one click, it instantly opens the emoji window so I can choose send 🥰  🤣  or 🔥  in seconds.

While my keyboard color is Pale Grey, the illuminating light is white and beautiful! It has proximity sensors that detect my hands, illuminating the keyboard the moment my fingers approach and it turns off when I step away. If you don't like this feature, the backlighting can be set manually too.  

I also like how the keyboard is ultra battery saving! It  features a USB-C quick-charging, and a full charge allows the keyboard to easily last up to 10 days or 20 weeks without backlight. 

Verdict:

I am a happy user of Logitech MX Keys Mini as it delivers great user experiences in all aspects - design, style, comfort, portability, connectivity and most importantly, wallet-friendly. If you like minimalist, compact yet efficient keyboard, this is a great option for your everyday use.

Samsung Galaxy A33 5G Full Review - Affordable, Good Buy!

It has been 3 weeks since my first impression on Samsung Galaxy A33 5G and I am happy to share with you the detailed review of the device after a month of being an user myself. 

As a content creator, I rely heavily on my mobile device everyday as my job revolves around photo / video taking, editing and heavy internet browsing. Hence, the 4 main things I place great emphasis on in my mobile device are:

❤ (i) Camera quality

❤ (ii) Quality and speed of processor

❤ (iii) Display quality

❤ (iv) Battery life

Camera

The 48MP quad-camera system is my favourite feature of the device. The images are crisp and vibrant, and the wide angle really makes the pictures stand out.

With the Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) feature, it helps a lot in taking long-distance shots.

Apart from the 48 MP F1.8 OIS main camera and a 8 MP F2.2 ultra-wide, I also love the image quality produced by the 5 MP F2.4 macro lens. Totally impressed by the sharpness, composition and vibrance of the images taken under macro mode.

The 13 MP F2.2 selfie camera is nothing lack of quality and speed too. Taking selfies with a Samsung device is always effortless as it enhances the skin tone and creates flawless complexion.

Processor

Compared to its predecessor, Galaxy A33 5G has tremendous improvements - no more sluggish processor and slow refresh rate. So far, the 5nm Octa-core processor allows me to do photo editing, video editing and social media browsing concurrently without any issue.  

Display

The 6.4-inch Infinity-U Display with FHD+ Super AMOLED display technology on Galaxy A33 5G gives a great user experience be it in indoors or bright outdoors. I especially love the display when I use it to stream YouTube during my travel journeys - it is ultra crisp, bright and vibrant, 

Battery life

The 5,000 mAh battery capacity is pretty good for heavy users like me as it can last easily up to 2 days. During my recent travels that require lots of photo-taking throughout the day, the device can last the entire day and I don't have to carry along a power bank. 

Conclusion

All in all, Samsung Galaxy A33 5G is a good buy if you are looking for an all-rounder that has attractive design, decent camera with various modes, bright and bold display, and an overall smooth user experience at a pocket-friendly price.
