Palladio, the U.S. Botanical and Vitamin Infused Cosmetics are Now in Guardian Malaysia!

Hi pretty, I am back with this month’s makeup haul – it’s going to be all about Palladio, the Botanical and Vitamin Infused Cosmetics from U.S., which has recently landed on the shore of Malaysia.

We, Asians may not be familiar with this American brand, Palladio. To be honest, it is my first time hearing of this brand too, after a Singaporean friend recommends it to me. It has been selling like hot cakes in Guardian Singapore, and I thought why not give it a try since it is now exclusively available in selected Guardian Health and Beauty stores in Malaysia.

The best part is, all Palladio products are priced from RM11.90 to RM47.90 in Guardian Malaysia, relatively cheaper than those sold in Singapore (after conversion)!!

Don’t that pocket-friendly prices sound attractive? No wonder this brand gains much popularity from the public so quickly during recent months. With over 130 selections of Palladio products in Malaysia, a large chunk of it comprises lip and eye products. Yay for those who love playing with different makeup looks!

Well, you are probably not aware that Palladio has been created since more than 25 years ago, famous for its color cosmetics enriched with herbs and vitamins. More often than not, makeup products usually dry up the skin and promote aging, but this is not the case for Palladio. Punch packed with natural goodness to keep the skin radiant and protect it from aging, Palladio definitely suits all skin types.

The ingredients used in Palladio products are mainly antioxidants such as Ginseng, Green Tea, Ginkgo Biloba, Vitamin E and natural humectants, as well as skin soothers such as Aloe Vera and Chamomile.

Currently sold in professional beauty supply stores and high-end specialty retailers in over 40 countries, I am pretty excited to see them in Malaysia so I can’t resist but to get my hands on their star products:
1. Palladio Dual Wet and Dry Foundation
2. Palladio The Definer (Contour Duo Stick)
3. Palladio Rice Paper
4. Palladio Velvet Matte Cream Lip Color

Palladio Dual Wet & Dry Foundation @ RM45.90

To begin with my makeup of the day, the first step is always a good foundation, so that the next steps can easily be adhered to the skin well. Palladio's version is a unique powder formula that can be applied dry or wet for preferred coverage.

You can use it dry for light powder finishes and touch-ups, or wet the product for maximum coverage. Both ways are ideal for normal to oily skin.

TEXTURE:
The texture is similar to any other compact powder.
EASE TO BLEND:
The sponge applicator allows quick and easy blending.
CASE DESIGN:
Love the separate compartment for powder with sponge, for hygiene purpose.
LONGLASTING:
Touch up is required from time to time.

For dry application, just spread evenly over the face. Whereas
for wet application, first wet the sponge, then dab the powder like a "liquid foundation" onto skin.

The coverage is not bad, as it conceals my huge open pfores although not much coverage for the dark eye circles.

Palladio The Definer (Contour Duo Stick) @ RM39.90

During normal working days, I'd usually skip the eye makeup steps and go for light blush on the cheeks. But what not to be missed is the contouring and highlighting steps, which I find them extra important to make my face looks slimmer and sharper.

Palladio's convenient duo stick is a unique two-sided super-soft contouring jumbo crayon for defining and refining facial feat. One is labelled "Contour" while the other is "Highlight", so you wouldn't mix them up. Great for any face shape.

TEXTURE:
The highlighting stick has softer, creamier texture on the skin, as compared to the contouring stick.
EASE TO BLEND:
Effortless blending for the highlight, but not so for the contouring part.
PIGMENTATION:
Very shimmery highlight and dark contouring shade.
LONGLASTING:
Requires touch up for the all-day long defined look.

Palladio Velvet Matte Cream Lip Color @ RM25.90

Lastly, I'd surely paint my lips for that overall healthy look. And the color I pick really depends on my mood of the day. As Palladio's lush, velvety liquid lip color is available in 10 vibrant shades, this time I choose something plum / berry for a more seductive look.

Thanks to the moisturizing fluid cream formula infused with vitamin and botanical aloe, it does not feel drying to the lips. At this price point, I have no complaints at all!

TEXTURE:
Glides very smoothly onto the lips without feeling dry at all.
EASE TO USE:
It adheres to the lips easily and requires effortless blending.
PIGMENTATION:
Highly pigmented and defines the lips shape very well.
LONGLASTING:
Very longlasting, rich matte finish.

Palladio Rice Paper @ RM20.90

While touch-up is important on the go, facial blotting paper is essential too to keep our skin away from shine. Palladio's best-selling rice paper is a unique combination of oil-absorbing rice paper tissues with a light dusting of shine-controlling powders.

So it is oil-absorbing on two sides, and can be used over and under makeup. Plus, each piece is delicately made with natural rice which is much gentler for the skin as compared to pulp. I personnally love the vintage oriental packaging too.

TEXTURE:
Love the matte side that effectively blots away shine but the paper is quite fragile -- may tear off easily.
EASE TO USE
Yes, just dab while on the go. I like the pocket-size paper that makes it convenient to slit into my mini bag.
LONGLASTING:
Each piece can only be used once. One is probably sufficient for T-zone area depending on your skin type.

Verdict:
1. Palladio is indeed a fun, pretty and exciting brand to play with, especially for beauty junkies.
2. Thanks Palladio for delivering such high quality products at a super value price point.
3. Overall, my personal favourite goes to the Velvet Matte Cream Lip Color, I am sure you'd love it too if you enjoy playing with colors.
