PUMA Night Run 2017: I've Completed 12KM Run!

Yay, my first 12km run done and dusted!

I sort of get addicted to fun runs over these 2 years, but 12km is the farthest distance I've done so far. I started joining PUMA Night Run 2016 as a 10km participant, and now it seems to be an annual activity to me.

PUMA Night Run 2017 is back for the 4th time with more excitement, fun and amazing line-ups for more than 10,000 participants this year. The 6km fun run gains 6,000 runners whereas the 12km competitive run receives equally great response from 4,000 runners.

As usual, PUMA Night Run is not just about the joy of running! Here we have more fun experiencing the “carnival” where we get to participate in various activities such as the PUMA Ninja Warrior Challenge and performances by renowned local singer Black, national cheerleading championship Cheer Aces, unique percussionists No Noise Percussion and one of the best known dance crews in Malaysia EleColdXHot.

PUMA’s pop up store is flooded with crowd before the run begins,
probably because everyone is busy checking out the all-new Netfit lacing system.

Right before the run, I get to fuel myself at the food trucks area where I have my burger dose from Big Hug Burger. Other food trucks available on site include Juice Works, Lokka Café, Wheeloaf, O-Tea, Oishii Onigiri, The Laughing Monkey, and Ten Ounces.

Apart from familiar faces from the “PUMA Friends” celebrities, this round the Korean star Peter Lee Jae Yoon who has made a special appearance and flagged off the second wave of 6km runners.

The 6km runners are about to flag off!

12km for me is indeed not easy and I am glad that I made it in 1.5 hours.
Hopefully I can work harder for a better record next year :)

At the end of the run, it’s prize presentation ceremony. The top 3 finishers of the 12km / 6km men and women category walked away with thousands of ringgit worth of PUMA vouchers.

The official partners and sponsors of PUMA Night Run 2017 include: 100 Plus, Lazada, Sepang Municipal Council, Sunway Putra Mall, Juice Works, Celebrity Fitness, Jaybird, Garmin, Tune Talk, Salonpas, GRAB, ON Fm, Running Malaysia, Domino's Pizza, Heal on Wheel, Optical 88, GoPro

Bump into some old friends during the run too. Such a coincidence!

We stay a little longer after the run just to wait for the best part of the evening. The awesome evening concludes with a dazzling firework display along with streams of energetic cheers from the crowd.

Once again, special thanks to PUMA Malaysia for such a memorable experience.
Am definitely looking forward to PUMA Night Run 2018 – may it be bigger, brighter and better!
