ESSE Organic Skincare x The Sompotan Spa

Recently ESSE Organic Skincare from South Africa was brought all the way into Malaysia. It is a premium range of cutting-edge professional and retail skincare products, using unique anti-ageing active ingredients, wild-sourced from legendary African plants.

ESSE Organic Skincare is probably the most natural product I've ever seen!

ESSE is certified organic by Ecocert France so customers are assured of clean, sustainable products. Esse also supports PhytoTrade Africa and the Fair Trade movement, which ensures that the wild populations of these plants are maintained.

Esse products are free of parabens, petrochemicals, synthetic fragrance and synthetic colourants.
Other natural properties include:

- Bioegradable and Earth Friendly
- Safe to use for all including pregnant women
- Vitamin Enriched
- Accredited by Beauty Without Cruelty
- Endorsed by the Vegan Society

In the recent collaboration with Sompoton Spa Sanctuary, a therapeutic healing treatment haven which is inspired by the rich culture and ancient philosophy from Sabah, ESSE products are integrated into the Green Spa Menu at all Sompotan Spa outlets for facial treatments and spa indulgences.

Upon setting my foot inside the spa, the friendly therapists did hand massage for me using ESSE product.

The treatment room offers a warm and welcoming ambience with cosy lighting. Aromas from essential oils and flowers fill the spa suites to uplift the senses of customers. Soothing music is played in the background.

Equipped with state-of-the-art treatment equipment, the spa signature massage uses traditional Malay techniques combined with selected elements of Shiatsu, Swedish and Balinese style massages.

ESSE products range from cleanser, moisturizer, exfoliator to serum and repair oil which is highly effective to remove stretch mark after delivery for women.

ESSE Gel Cleanser, Cream Cleanser, Toner

Edith Lam and Jaime Yap from Zecca Limited, the sole distributor of ESSE Organic Skincare in Asia, shared some sentiments of practising healthy lifestyles by incorporating natural organic products into their lives.

I was surprised to learn that ESSE values highly of the Africa's biggest resources of plants such as rooibosm baobab, marula, kigella and devil's claw. Despite of the products being 100% natural, the effect on skin is highly visible after continuous use.

Currently ESSE is distributed all over in Asia, with 10 best-performing outlets in Hong Kong and Macau. It is also available at the popular Habiniko, a London-based high-end store.

Most of the ESSE products are dark-colored with very dense texture, because it uses real extracts from plants. The optimal pH of 4.5 - 5.5 is ideal for our skin to keep it healthier and younger.

The scent of the rich body moisturizer that I tried is really deeply comforting, as it contains Yangu and Manketti oils which act as UV barrier. Definitely an ideal treatment for dehydrated skin.
