[TRAVEL] Best Skyline View in Hong Kong : Sky100 Observation Deck

Imagine yourself being elevated to the 100th Floor in just 60 seconds and experience that magnificent 360-degree city view.... are you excited?

Sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck
100/F, International Commerce Centre,
1, Austin Road West,
Kowloon, Hong Kong.

Opening Hours:
Sunday – Thursday: 10:00 – 21:00 (Last entry: 20:30)
Friday – Saturday: 10:00 – 22:30 (Last entry: 22:00)

I love enjoying aerial views of different cities I visit. Many years ago, I have been to Victoria Peak, Hong Kong but now it is just too overcrowded - the tram queue alone already takes at least 3 hours to and fro even on a weekday.

Here are the rates and opening hours for your reference.

To avoid crowd and unnecessary 'stress', guess where can you enjoy even better view from a higher viewpoint? It's at sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck!

How to get there:
By car: 30 minutes from Hong Kong International Airport / 15 minutes from Central

By bus:
1-hour direct coach from Shenzhen International Airport

By train:
❤ Take Exit C of Kowloon Station of Tung Chung Line and Airport Express, and the entrance is on your slight left.
❤ Or take Exit M of Hong Kong West Kowloon Station and walk for 10 minutes along the footbridge connecting to ELEMENTS Mental Zone and look for sky100.

Sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck is located on the 100th floor of International Commerce Centre (ICC), the tallest building in Hong Kong, set at 393 metres above sea level. Because it is a fully indoor 360-degree deck, we don't have to sweat my way up there or stuff myself in the sea of people.

Upon arriving at ICC which is linked to a high-end luxury shopping mall, we are already excited to make my way up there.

Ticketing counter of sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck - so posh and beautiful!
The friendly staff is very approachable and guides us to the elevator.

The hallway leading us in.... Are you ready yet?

And then we get into Hong Kong’s fastest double-deck high-speed lifts, which reach the 100th floor in just 60 seconds. There is a timer in the lift, so no cheating :P

We are here at 393 metres high / 100 floors above ground level!

Look at the glass walkway with "beautiful cities under your feet"! The design looks pretty cool eh?

Here comes the much-awaited boundless sea and city views.

The 360-degree observation deck really allows us to see Hong Kong at all angles. The most beautiful side is the east deck (Area A), facing Central and Victoria Harbour side.

Can you spot the Hong Kong Observation Wheel from here?

Other sides of the deck also give equally mesmerizing views of Tsing Ma Bridge, Sheung Wan and Lion Rock.

Apart from the “sky100’s Tales of Hong Kong”, a 28-metre-long multimedia story wall on the deck, we also see plenty of techy stuff here: Experiencing Zone called the “Sky-High Tech Zone” which uses Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies for guests to discover the beauty of Hong Kong is a totally new, different way.

It also has a photo booth and postcard corner for guests too.

As we arrive around dinner time, we don't see much crowd here, but there are plenty of diners at Café 100 by The Ritz-Carlton on the west side of the deck, savouring the food while enjoying the view.

Thank you Travel Recommends for the seamless connectivity throughout my Hong Kong trip
so I get to share so many Instagram / Facebook stories with you guys!

Overall Verdict:
It is recommended to stay an hour or two here, just enjoy that memorable sky-high experience!

If I were to revisit, I would choose to come before the sun sets (ideally around 5pm), to experience both the day and night views at sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck.

Another point to note is the frequent closure of this deck for private events etc. But don’t worry, you can check the closure time for each zone on their website: https://sky100.com.hk/opening-hours

You can buy your tickets online to enjoy a 10% discount.
Hope you can enjoy a romantic date with your loved ones at sky100!
