CNY 2019 Garden of Mandarin Oranges in Suria KLCC

Welcome to the Blossoming Garden of Mandarin Oranges in Suria KLCC!

Happy (early) Chinese New Year to you guys! 2019 has been exciting thus far, and now I am more excited to celebrate our traditional festival, Chinese New Year. I know some of you have been busy with spring cleaning and baking cookies at home but don't forget about your CNY shopping!

Suria KLCC is definitely on the must-visit list because its CNY decor has gotten bigger and better this year! At the Esplanade area facing the lake, you'll get to see a 40-ft basket of mandarin oranges replica known as the "Basket of Good Fortune" - yes, so gigantic and worth a picture from every angle!

Look at its mesmerising view after the sun is down -
equally attractive and heart-warming for this festive season.

Not only that, at the Centre Court of the mall, we can feel strong CNY vibes in the air.
I mean, look at the beautiful decors around here!

Themed "Abundance of Prosperity", Suria KLCC's Centre Court brings to life a traditional garden of an ancient Chinese courtyard house which we usually see only on TV! It is so beautifully adorned with Mandarin oranges and hanging lanterns that signify fortune, wealth and prosperity.

Speaking of mandarin oranges, we all love this juicy, sweet and thirst-quenching fruit, don't we? But do you know what is the significance behind it? In Chinese, Mandarin oranges (柑) sounds similar to Gold (金), hence it is a good resemblance of good luck and good fortune.

Lovin' the brightly-lit lanterns hanging on the trees surrounded by colorful blossoms too.

So, come bring your family and friends to the mall and capture the auspicious moments at various festive photo spots here.

And don't forget to grab the opportunity to shop for cheongsam, Chinese tea and other CNY ornaments at the Centre Court too.

Decors aside, guess what Suria KLCC has for you this CNY?

From 23 January to 19 February 2019, you can catch various Chinese cultural performances at Centre Court and Esplanade KLCC on Fridays to Sundays and Public Holidays such as:

The lively and auspicious Lion Dance is brought to us by Kwong Ngai Acrobatic Lion Dance group,
the Overall Champion of the 2017 National Dragon and Lion Dance Championship.

The special appearance of the God of Prosperity (财神爷) heightens the spirit of joy among shoppers as he gives away his "lucky tokens" to the crowd.

Meanwhile, the Festive Drum Performances also add to the atmosphere of festivity.
