CHANEL Les Confidences Beauty Workshop @ The Majestic Hotel KL

It was a beautiful Friday when I was invited to attend a beauty workshop organized by Chanel.
CHANEL! A French high fashion brand that is no longer a new icon to all.

Specializing in haute couture and ready-to-wear clothes, luxury goods and fashion accessories,
Chanel is now almost a hundred years old!

And that day we were focusing on CHANEL Makeups!

The event of the day was held at The Majestic Hotel KL, one of the oldest hotels in KL popular around the royals and high society since decades ago. I see the reason why Chanel chose this place when I entered into the hotel--- It is so classy and elegant, just like how Chanel appears in the eyes of consumer!

A brief introduction on how CHANEL was developed.

Honestly I think there is no need to introduce Chanel! Who doesn't know this famous brand?
It's a dream for all girls to at least own one CHANEL luxury leather bag in their life ;)

Let's begin with the workshop!

It was a French-titled "CHANEL Les Confidences" workshop, meaning "The Secret in Chanel!"
I was one of the lucky girls there as Chanel would be revealing to us the secret of achieve beauty from inner and out.

Skin complexion, fragrance, lips and nails are the important elements of beauty!

"A woman is only as good as the light and peace she radiates"--- Coco Chanel.

CHANEL Pre-makeup Skincare

First of all, we had to remove our makeups with CHANEL cleansers and make up removers. I used the Eau Douceur Cleansing Water that feels very mild and soft on skin! For the eye makeups, Demaquillant Yeux Intense is gentle enough for the sensitive parts.

Don't forget to hydrate your skin with Chanel's range of moisturizing lotions!

First step of makeup is to apply a very thin layer of UV protection using UV Essentiel Complete Sunscreen Daily Protection. Three levels of SPF (SPF 20, 30, 50) provide custom sun protection for your complexion, environment and lifestyle.

The lesson of the day was to create the Mademoiselle Chanel secret look as well as the Gabrielle look. Mademoiselle Chanel is a makeup regime for daily wear, be it for work or for leisure time. Gabrielle portrays a more sophisticated makeup look for events and functions.

The makeup artist was creating the Mademoiselle look on the model.
Here's the complete list of makeups he used:

Joues Contraste 64 Pink Explosion

Les 4 Ombres 93 Smoky Eyes
Illusion D'Ombre 81 Fantasme
Ligne Graphique 10 Noir
Inimitable Extreme 10 Noir Pur

Rouge Coco 39 Paradis

Time to play with the cosmetics and makeup tools!

As for myself, I wanna try on Gabrielle instead :)

Joues Contraste 71 Malice

Les 4 Ombres 33 Prelude
Illusion D'Ombre 81 Fantasme
Ligne Graphique 61 Noir
Inimitable Extreme 10 Noir Pur

Rouge Coco 25 Vendome

Always begin your makeup with foundation/base on your skin. First, put on the Le Blanc Light Revealing Whitening Makeup Base (pink one on the most left) to give a healthy pinky glow. The texture is very similar to BB cream, and it comes with UV protection as well. Then use the Correcteur Perfection Long Lasting Concealer on blemishes or dark eye circles.

Create a translucent natural matte finish with a sheer layer of powder foundation-- Vitalumiere Hydra SPF15. The compact powder is ultra lightweight and luxuriously soft. Great as an anytime touch-up too!

For Gabrielle look, the smoky eye palette is best to create the dramatic effect. Mine was the Les 4 Ombres Quadra 93 Smoky Eyes. The shade combinations range from matte to satin to shimmer. It can be applied dry for subtle shading, or dampened for more intense colour.

Don't rush to complete your lips makeup! Make sure you enhance the shape of your lips with Le Crayon Levres Precision Lip Definer which gives a semi-matte finish and ensures a long-lasting wear of lipstick.

I love the Rouge Coco Hydrating Creme Lip Colour Lipstick as it helps to soften, soothe and condition the lips. For a more glamorous look, do try Levres Scintillantes Glossimer Lip Gloss so that your lips look shiny and kissable!

Lastly, don't forget to add the flattering radiance to your cheek! Joues Contraste Powder Blush has a silky texture when I applied it high on my cheekbone. Amazingly, it instantly lifts and softens the face and I kinda look younger then!

My Gabrielle Makeup Look

Yeay! I did it after lots of guidance from the makeup experts in the hall. The smoky eye palette has indeed made wonders onto my eyes. The overall complexion is seamless with CHANEL cosmetic!

Actually the Mademoiselle look was not complete yet... Another makeup tip from the expert:
Always remember to match your lipstick and nail colour!

CHANEL Ranges of Perfumes

The secret of beauty does not limit to makeup alone. In fact, Coco Chanel herself was the first woman in the world having her very own fragrance in her name! A naughty tip for ladies by herself: "Wear perfume wherever you want to be kissed!"

An overriding elegance, a fascinating presence,

CHANEL's Best-Selling N°5 EDT and EDP-- Femininity is timeless!

The event came to a close after the photography session in our very own Chanel makeup look, then we indulged ourselves with colorful light bites from The Tea Lounge, Majectic Hotel.

Both savories and desserts are impressive! If you happen to pass by Majectic Hotel, do drop by for a high tea session and you'd definitely be fascinated with the wonderful set.
