Weekend Brunch @ Signature at The Roof, 1 Utama

Do you usually wake up hungry like a bear and crave for sumptuous breakfast especially during lazy weekends? A new family weekend brunch has been unveiled at the top of the peak in the premium gastro-lounge cum bar restaurant, Signature at The Roof.

Exuding sophistication and sensuality from the interior decorations to the lighting, Signature at The Roof (Read more at HERE) has a class of its own. It has always been known as a popular nightlife entertainment hub as the crowd usually floods in after work, but now this fine restaurant offers a delectable array of breakfast menu during weekends from 11am to 3pm.

Priced from RM14 onwards, the menu will include breakfast classics with a twist such as Omelette Au Fromage, Eggs Benedict, Scallop Black Aglio Maki and Beef Tortilla Wrap all washed down with a choice of coffee or tea.

You can also enjoy your brunch date over a glass of champagne such as Moet Chandon and Veuve Clicquot. Did I forget to mention that it has a stunning view overlooking PJ's city-- a perfect setting to enjoy a delicious meal during a relaxed weekend morning?

Big Breakfast @ RM26

I reckon the big breakfast platter makes a great weekend treat as diners can enjoy the beautiful contrast in texture, flavour and color on one big breakfast platter. Incorporating all the essential breakfast elements (Sliced turkey ham, beef bacon, sauteed mushrooms, hash browns, baked beans, breakfast sausages, sun-dried tomatoes and scrambled eggs served on a flat bread) in one dish, the generous portion makes it great for sharing.

Fluffy, moist, luscious and custard-like scrambled eggs--- Definitely a crowd pleaser!

Eggs Benedict @ RM18

Another notable breakfast fare here will ensure diners fall in love at the first sight with its artful presentation. The eggs benedict, a wonderful combination of comforting poached eggs on toast with generous smoked salmon topping and heavenly drizzle of hollandaise sauce, leaves us impressed and wanting for more.

Not a fan of salmon? Fret not, you can have your eggs benedict served with sliced turkey ham instead. For only RM18, the thick, flavourful smoked salmon literally covers the eggs and toast. If this is not a good deal, I don't know what is!

Unfortunately, both the eggs are overdone and really a huge turnoff for us as we prefer
savouring the wonderfully rich and buttery sauce with oozing, runny poached eggs.

Omelette Au Fromage @ RM18

Signature's version of omelette is overloaded with cheese and accompanied with a side of smoked salmon salad. Cheese lovers will enjoy the layer of cheese melted in the omelette, and have a good munch on the diced capsicums within the gooey eggs.

.....so heavenly good as if they are composed solely to comfort the soul.
Yes, because I'm a fanatic for eggs and cheeeese!

Aunt Abby's Breakfast Salad @ RM21

An inventive take on traditional mesclun salad that is jam-packed with leafy vegetables, this slightly dressed-up dish is not overly fussy, it is still breakfast; just better. Let's kickstart the day with a perfectly-balanced platter of lean chicken slices, baby tomato, olive and arugula in vinaigrette dressing!

Fruit Bowl @ RM15

If you're seeking for meatless dishes, the fruit bowl makes a great choice by combining various nutrient-packed fresh fruits in a bowl. It looks simple yet satisfying for the health conscious.

Hot Chocolate @ RM13 / Iced Long Black @ RM9 / Fresh Watermelon Juice @ RM13

Good, comforting food along with a great cup of coffee or juice make Signature at The Roof a return favourite for me. They are serving healthy cold-pressed juices from Lifejuice Super Foods Bar too!

Imperial King Prawn Noodles @ RM42

Apart from the brunch menu, we also sample on the crowd's favourite Fresh Prawn Noodles. Signature's interpretation of KL's popular Sang Har Mee is loaded with fresh king prawns, gigantic seared king scallop and squid with fried crispy noodles in rich egg gravy.

The gravy is done perfectly well, with thick consistency and eggy flavour.
But hey look at the size of the prawns and scallops, they're definitely the show-stopper in this dish!

Spicy Chocolate Lava @ RM22

Apart from the plethora of Asian and international fusion cuisine, the dessert menu here is equally unique for those who enjoy the finer things in life. I just can't stop digging into this Chilli Chocolate Lava Cake served with Kahlua infused mascarpone, berries compote and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

A gentle fork into the heart of this lightly spiced crust sends forth a warm lava flow of chocolate.
Love the pure chocolatey decadence from the inside out!

If you feel like staying for dinner, don't forget to grab some award-winning signature cocktails here.
Truly an ideal and classy joint for social gatherings, celebrations and events.

All in all, Signature serves as an ideal and classy joint for weekend brunch, away from the maddening crowd in town. Don't worry about finding a parking bay, because diners can enjoy free valet parking at First Avenue tower by presenting your dine-in receipt from 11am to 3pm every weekend!

Verdict:
1. A modish place with great food, this is a spot you shouldn't miss.
2. Considering the posh ambiance and portion size, the breakfast dishes here have great value for money.
3. Recommended: Big Breakfast, Imperial King Prawn Noodles
