2018 Year-end Travel Plans: Where to Go?

It's almost a wrap for 2018! ❤ I must admit that 2018 has been a great year for me with several sponsored travel opportunities. In the beginning of the year, I have watched the blooming sunflower field in Khao Yai, Thailand, thanks to the cheap flights which I manage to secure via Traveloka online booking site.

You Are A Miracle, So Count Your Blessings!

Everyday, on Facebook, surely we'd see people around us complaining about their daily life-- be it the traffic jam, or the slow internet-- Well, it can be almost....anything in life! But have we ever put our shoes into the less fortunate ones who have been staying strong and positive in life? For instance, those who have disability yet are able to live like a normal person.

Be grateful for what you have; Make your blessings count!

Recently I've been reading a lot of inspiring stories, and one of them that I'd love to share is about a girl, Nurul Ashikin, or lovingly known as Shikin. She is naturally born with hearing impairment and talking difficulty, but her family has never given up on her. Their determination has proven that miracle does happen.

Shikin, the youngest in her family.

At the age of 1, Shikin's abnormality was discovered as she hadn't started talking like other infants. To me, it was really heart-breaking to hear that a little girl, aged 5, had to undergo a potential cochlear implant but most specialists mentioned it was too late. She had considered hearing aids but the results were not promising.

Thank God for listening to her family's prayer, they met Dr. Arasa from Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur who gave her a life-changing opportunity. He suggested applying for the Khazanah-IHH Healthcare Fund in view of their financial constraint.

This fund is not just for people with hearing disability,
but also for anyone who has medical complications!

It helps provide partial or fully sponsored medical treatment to needy patients in Malaysia, Singapore and Turkey. Since 2012, the Fund allocated RM50 million for use over a period of 5 years, until 2017. While Malaysian patients have been allocated to utilise 70% of the Fund, the remaining 30% is catered to help patients in Singapore and Turkey.

Shikin (in blue scarf) and her beloved family were enjoying the sweet melody of birds chirping.

Thanks to this fund, Shikin has successfully undergone the operation last year. Imagine a child being able to speak and hear her beloved family's voice once she wakes up from her dream. The world has certainly changed in her eyes!

It is an astonishing statistic to know that the Khazanah-IHH Healthcare Fund has extended help to some 1,000 people in Malaysia to date. Sharing is caring. If you believe in the Fund's tagline, "Restoring Health, Changing Lives", then please spread the words. Who knows if you might be a life changer of someone in this world?

Any inspiring story to share with me? Feel free to leave a comment below!

Romantic Getaway Inspiration: My Dream Honeymoon

As we grow older each day, we would eventually come to a point in life when we realize how quickly time goes by, and when is the right time to change our priorities as we move into another stage of life. Well, 2016 must have been a really good year, I have received many good news from my friends who are soon to be brides and bridegrooms.

Picture courtesy to AYANA Resort and Spa, Bali

To me, I always picture a dream wedding for myself, despite of the fact that Mr. Right is still non-existent at this point of time. I believe, no matter how independent or career-driven you are, you'd still have the softer side of yourself that secretly wishes for a perfect wedding with your loved ones.

Looking at my friends who are getting married one after another, I am glad to share some of my personal honeymoon inspirations / pre-wedding photoshoot destinations with them.

If you remember my previous travelogue to Bali, I am totally in love with this beautiful place. If I were given a chance, I would choose to spend my honeymoon at Bali luxury resort somewhere in Jimbaran or Seminyak area to enjoy the beauty of beach and sea with the special one.

Nothing beats the quality time spent together as if there are just the two of you in the entire space. Therefore, getting a beautiful villa or a romantic accommodation there is important, be it a private villa with a spacious pool or a lovely chalet facing the sea.

It needs not necessarily be honeymoon, just treat it as a holiday getaway with your loved ones and perhaps surprise her with a wedding proposal? I'm sure the rate of success would be skyrocket high :P

If you have any tips or recommendation on something related to wedding, feel free to share with us HERE :) Can't wait to check out more inspiring stories from you guys!

How To Accessorize Your Life

Hi, lovelies! Today's topic is for you, fashion lovers ♥ Besides clothes, accessories play an important role in completing my everyday coordinate. If you have been following my #OOTD shots on Instagram, I love to minimize my accessories for a clean, simple look.

Check out my Instagram account: @ohfishiee for more coordinates!

Imagine wearing the most amazing black dress but which looks unfortunately bare without dangling earrings or a belt to wrap around your waist. Women need accessories such as bracelets, belts, earrings, sunglasses and hats to improve the look of their wardrobe.

Also, always add the right accessories to complement what you wear so that you can flaunt your body figure! For example, belts of various thickness and colours work miraculously on different body shapes. And.. don't ever over-accessorize yourself!

Therefore, these little things have a huge importance to complement your style.
But honestly I'm still a newbie in fashion, and have alot more to learn from you guys!

From the recent Zalora online magazine, I learned something! Never underestimate the power of accessories that can maximize the potential of what you are wearing. Having an eye for what’s hot in style is always a great start, and buying pieces that are “in” instantly sees a fashion-forward wardrobe update. Select carefully based on the latest trends in the fashion industry and decide if they match with the clothes you have in that closet of yours.

For instance, if you’ve bought a colourful and chunky bracelet as shown above, pair it with a muted-coloured outfit - like a white plain blouse and a nice pair of jeans. The bracelet would add your look even in the slightest way possible without jeopardizing your outfit.

You could research on the acceptable ways to match your accessories with your shoes or handbag by flipping through a fashion magazine while sipping a nice hot cup of tea. For example, the snake skin patterned necklace looks quite fantastic when you match it with both brown and black heels. It gives you a very sophisticated look but adds a touch of an animalistic edge!

Love the coordinates from River Island on Zalora online site! If you love collecting accessories and matching them up with your outfits, do your shopping online with Zalora as they provide you with the best selections of accessories for you to choose from.

Zalora even mixes and matches some of the outfits and accessories on the site to give you inspirations!

So wait no longer as all you accessories lovers can get your hands on amazing designs for your collection by shopping at Zalora website! With only three days delivery, you could have it delivered right at your doorstep! Experience the perks of shopping conveniently from home; start now and get hooked!

Be proud of your own style, whether it’s a bit preppy and smart, or fun and quirky,
and remember the best accessory a girl can have is a smile!

Finding Jobs Online is Easier with Joblogy

Being a student is never easy. Especially for a self-funded university student like me. I'm fortunate to be scholarship holder whom living expenses are sponsored. Most of the time, it's not that I can't afford to buy myself a better lunch or a luxury bag, I just need to think a little harder because I need extra cash for this.

To live comfortably, I need to work part time. Promoter, sales assistant and clerk are the common ones, but if you are looking for something more specialized to gain experience, then you're at the right place now.

...introducing to you Joblogy to help you find jobs online in an easy way. It is a centrepoint for both employers and job seekers to advertise their jobs / look for jobs. The best thing is, you can login to the website using your Facebook account. At this moment joblogy.com mostly has programming jobs, but the website is expanding everyday with growing number of new jobs!

The tabs on top made easier for me to seek for a job, where you can search by category: Part Time, Full Time, Intern and Contract Jobs. To make it even more convenient for you, there is an option to search jobs by location.

For the tab "Friends+Jobs", it is an impressive feature where you can sync your Facebook account and view your circle of friends who are working or have worked with any of the company advertised in the site.

When you click into a job, you'll be able to see all the key requirements for the job, the location and contact details for your further action.

Joblogy is currently still in its Beta stage, but its user-friendly interface captures lots of employers and job seekers to use the site. I personally find it easy to use, so you won't find yourself stuck somewhere you can't figure it out. Hopefully there will be more job database and wider variety of jobs offered on the website.

Oh did I mention that one of my favourite jobs as a student is being a tutor? It's fun to be in the shoes of my lecturer. Here the company also operates www.hometuitionjob.com and expanded to Singapore home tuition industry. In fact, it is currently available in Malaysia, Singapore and India.

GIRLS ALERT: Qualities Men Should Have

Disclaimer:
FOR HER: You should READ this to know what you REALLY want from guys.
FOR HIM: You must NOT miss this to evaluate how ideal you are for girls.

Click to watch this video

This Youtube video has recently gone viral on Facebook, and after I watched it, I have a little piece of advice for her friend...so I come up with these:

5 Qualities Men Should Have:
(Rank 1 = Most important, 5 = Least important)

#1 PATIENCE!

Being patient with the girlfriend may sound easy. BUT... how many of you can still be patient when you're in a bad mood? Never ever let up frustration on your girl. Never. One mistake ruins the whole relationship.

#2 HARDWORKING!

It's not about earning more money for a better living. It is your effort towards the relationship--- It is how much effort you put in to improve things between you & her, her friends and family that counts!

#3 SELFLESS!

Love her like how you love yourself! Being selfish in your thoughts and the way you adore her simply wouldn't bring the relationship anywhere further.

#4 CHIVALROUS

Being gentleman in the daily life means courtesy. But going beyond that is far more significant! Giving her support, being a great listener, showing care and being there for her really matters alot...

#5 BRAVE!

Being brave doesn't mean going around looking for trouble. It proves how strong the relationship is, when you are brave enough to protect her and show the courage to walk her down the aisle one day!

So... girls, set your goal and know what you really need from guys.

If any of the guy out there has a perfect balance of the 5 key qualities,
you're more than welcomed to be my prince charming :P

Again, guy being rich means financial security but it does not mean EVERYTHING in life.
You may give up everything now in exchange of MONEY,
but you may end up giving up your entire life in exchange of LOVE...

...Cherish people around you, those who care for you.
Amen.

What's Best in Chinese New Year?

So finally here comes to the end of celebrating Chinese New Year as I can see my Facebook wall starts to get flooded with posts about Valentine's Day. Have you ever asked yourself, how well have you gone through Chinese New Year this year?

Are you really celebrating the Chinese New Year in a Chinese way?

#1 Did you have your Lou Sang?

The prosperity toss, I realise, is more expensive this year. A small portion of basic salmon yee sang is already RM48 now, compared to its price at RM38 last year. But no matter how the price hikes, it never goes out of demand because of the meanings behind it. So far, I have 10 rounds of Prosperity Toss this year. Good things are expected to be more :P How about you?

#2 Did you visit at least a temple?

I really hope that the Year of Water Dragon would be good for me because I have been a good girl and really hardworking to visit the old temples. Without realizing, I actually spent 3 separate days in the CNY month to visit temples, hoping that God would listen to my prayers.

#3 Did you receive an ang pow or give out any?

When it comes to ang pow, I'd wish I can be a kid forever so that I can receive countless ang pows from every single person I know on earth. Besides, I have a weird hobby during New Year that is collecting CUTE angpow PACKETS! I bet you wouldn't know that the above picture is 2 different ang pow packets if I didn't state here.

#4 Have you prayed for more fortune?

Every year, the elder ones would say the same old phrase, "Huat Ah!". Of course, every one of us never fails to think how to earn more money this year, save more money, spend less money....and it's all about MONEY! I hope this piece of Fortune Cookie helps to bring more wealth too.

#5 Did you stay at home, preparing tonnes of food for your guests?

From left: Almond cookies, chilli tidbits, almond biscotti, seaweed cookies, love letter (Kuih Kapit), peanut cookies, crispy arrowhead chips, fried crab sticks and lastly the chocolate cornflakes cups.

Here are all the 9 foodstuff to welcome the guests to my house, not inclusive of the famous Prawn Crackers and Chinese Dried Meats. 5 out of 9 are homemade, by the way :)

#6 Did you visit your relatives' and friends' houses and enjoy their offerings?

During the festive seasons, do you go around for house visitations or do you visit shopping malls more than houses? There, I spot this cute Snoopy cookie from my uncle's house, while spending a good relaxing day at his house for a small gathering.

#7 Did you do your gift exchange during house visits?

Wherever we go during CNY, we'd surely bring along some Mandarin Oranges as small gifts to our friends or relatives. But for the first time, I receive 33 pieces of fresh, homemade Kuih Bahulu all the way from Malacca :)

#8 Did you give or receive any Chinese New Year card by snail mail?

No, I'm not talking about e-cards, SMSes, Facebook wall posts or tweets. From this picture, I've received a cute greeting card from my old friend, dated 16 January but it reached my mailbox on 29 January. With a 50 cent stamp, I think I shouldn't expect a faster delivery anyway. Thank you very much to this all-time best friend because people don't send out cards via post delivery anymore but she does :)

Conclusion:
Out of the 8 questions, how many "Yes" have you answered? Now, revise the answers and share with me whether Chinese New Year brings a significant meaning to you personally :)

Malaysia Top Car Websites

Have you ever browse on cars whenever you surf the Internet? Or when strolling at a shopping mall, will you stop by at some car exhibition, staring at the shiny, stylish car models? Or do you ever dream of owning one and call them as your "Wife"?

As a typical Malaysian, I know you will have at least one "Yes" for the 3 questions above.
The fact is, luxurious cars, who doesn't love them?

Recently there is an event happening @ IOI Boulevard, right beside Tu Shu Guan, exhibiting two whole rows of luxurious sport cars, including this one above. People just can't stop posing with these cars, which they call them their "Dream Car", and guess what, most of them are males! And the crowd gathered around these vehicles are mostly young guys.

Well, let's come practical in this matter. A Lamborghini can't be fully utilized around Malaysia with its road structure being not suitable for sports car. Let's see, can you imagine a powerful sports car being stucked at a massive jam, moving like a snail? So now I have some recommendations of car websites for you, if you're really interested in buying a practical car for your daily use.

#1 Carlist

Carlist.my is a FREE online car classifieds. This website helps used car sellers to reach potential buyers by having their car classifieds listed on Carlist.my. Specializing in the trade of cars, this website functions more or less like Mudah.my.

Convenience is what we talk about everyday. Through this website, you will be able to search from their vast inventory of used car listings and find the right car easily with their unique car search feature. I hope the user-friendly layout helps you too!

Autoworld.com.my or more popularly known as AW is managed and operated by Autoworld.com.my Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Jobstreet Corporation Berhad. The website was officially launched on the 9th of November 1999, meaning that it has more than 10 years of solid foundation in both brand-new and second-hand car trading.

Currently, Autoworld has some main sections namely New Cars, Used Cars, Sell Cars, News, Blogs, Forum, Insurance and Tools. While planning to include more features and functionalities to make the website more comprehensive, this website helps users to find all auto-related research and information and products and services without leaving the website.

A car encyclopedia it may be? Just check it out and you'll know!

#3 Carsifu

Carsifu is no longer a new website for me, as I have blogged about it two years back (Click for the full post). It is now a leading Car Classifieds website, with over 3,000 cars for sale posted online all across Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, and Johor. Among these 3 websites, Carsifu is the one with least selections of cars but it still appears to be one of the best hit among the online users.

So what are you waiting for?
Start doing your researches on cars todae and get the ideal one tomorrow!

Tee Intellectual Property - Trademark, Copyrights & Patent Expert

Phrase of the day: Intellectual Property

Well, for the topic of the day, I always wonder if I can always make something I did or said as my copyright, and others who use it should pay me as some kind of 'compensation' for me? Like the quote I always use, "Ignorance Is Bliss", people tend to repeat after me then I guess they ought to at least compensate me with something, right?

Okay perhaps that quote does belonged to someone famous in the past, and not me.
Let's take another example:

There must certainly be somebody who invented the phrase "LOL" where we use widely in all social networks, SMS, phone calls and even real-life conversations! But too bad, I guess this creative person cannot be a millionaire yet just because of one word of his.

So I hope you can stop wondering what is "Intellectual Property",
Here's the formal definition of it: Intellectual Property is creations of the mind: inventions, literary and artistic works, and symbols, names, images, and designs used in commerce.

Do you know that each and every one of us has the intellectual property rights?

So it's mainly about protecting your ideas, assets and whatever you think up next.
"Protect it, or lose it!"
Well, I bet you wouldn't want anyone to snatch something which originally came from you, would you?
So here comes in handy the Tee Intellectual Property Company :D

Established in 2010, Tee Intellectual Property Company or more formally known as Tee IP Sdn Bhd is a Malaysian Specialist Intellectual Property Firm. Their qualified Registered Patent Agent, Registered TradeMark Agent and Registered Industrial Design Agent are some of the professionals from a diverse range of disciplines including Law, Science and Engineering. With over 10 years of combined intellectual property legal service experience, they have the know-how and expertise to properly address your intellectual property needs.

The main job includes helping the clients in securing and protecting their intellectual property assets in Malaysia and over 160 countries (and more to come, I believe!). The company is strategically located in Kuala Lumpur, near to the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO).

Okay I know you'd be wondering why is it Tee IP when you have a whole long list of intellectual property company to be chosen from! And the reasons include:
#1 Quality guaranteed
#2 Quick and accurate services
#3 Jargon free
#4 No hidden cost at all!
#5 Safe and secure

If you can't make your mind for your intellectual property assets, then let Tee IP do it for you!
Tee Intellectual Property would always be the smartest choice of yours :)

Stop Child Abuse

Source: TechCentral
This issue is indeed very well concerned by the media masses and the public.

Let's speak up against this act of cruelty!

Child Abuse?

In your mind, you may only thought of the actions of hitting children, dumping babies etc. But let me tell you, it is definitely more than what you think!

Myth: Dumping babies is considered child abuse, isn't it?
Fact #1:
NO, child abuse is the inappropriate actions done on children, ranging from 5 to 18 years old. Dumping babies involve only new-borns and infants, definitely not children!

Fact #2:
Child abuse is one such crime which is rarely noticed and seldom reported.

Fact #3:
Child abuse may be sexual, physical or emotional in nature. Depending on various factors and situations, child abuse mars a child for life and may impede their progress and lifestyle.

#1 Physical Abuse:
  • Abuser beats, slaps or hits the child
  • Pinching, pushing, hair pulling, kicking, throwing the child
  • Drug use during pregnancy (Wow?? YES it affects the child voluntarily!)
#2 Sexual Abuse:
  • Adults revealing genitals
  • Harassment
  • Exhibiting any form of pornography (YES this is true!)
#3 Emotional Abuse:
  • Foul languages
  • Lack of affection towards child
  • Kidnapping (Oh YES moral is degrading!)
#4 Negligence:
  • Unable to provide food and clothing to children
  • Fail to send them to school
  • Couldn't bring a sick child to a doctor (YES some Mums are so mean!)

I definitely don't want to see
these kinds of child abusive actions to happen again!

unicef
Child abuse can be stopped
IF you make your first move here :)

Just spend your 5 minutes to show your support here!
Thank you for your kindness ;D ;D
